System and method for evaluation, detection, conditioning, and treatment of neurological functioning and conditions
11662818 · 2023-05-30 · ·

A system and method for evaluation, detection, conditioning, and treatment of neurological functioning and conditions which uses data obtained while a person is engaged in simultaneously in a range of primary physical tasks combined with defined types of associative activity, such as listening, reading, speaking, mathematics, logic puzzles, navigation of a virtual environment, recall of past stimuli, etc. The data from the physical and associative activities are combined to generate a composite functioning score visualization indicating the relative functioning of areas aspects of neurological functioning; including those in which deficiencies may be present, which are early indicators of possible neurological conditions. Through algorithmic recommendations combined with expert and user input, a conditioning regimen targeting neurological aspects of interest paired with periodic testing allows the user to track their progress in these areas over time.

MANUALLY POWERED TREADMILL

A manually powered treadmill includes a frame; a first rotatable element coupled to the frame; a second rotatable element coupled to the frame; a plurality of bearings coupled to the frame; a running belt at least partly supported by the plurality of bearings, where at least a portion of the running belt defines a curved running surface; and a safety device coupled to at least one of the first rotatable element and the second rotatable element. The safety device is structured to substantially prevent rotation of the at least one of the first rotatable element and the second rotatable element in a first rotational direction and permit rotation of the at least one of the first rotatable element and the second rotatable element in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.

EXERCISE TREADMILL

A treadmill has a front or rear set of pulleys and a looped running belt. The pulleys rotate with the movement of the belt, e.g., when a user walks, jogs, or runs on the treadmill. The pulleys are mounted on a rotating roller tube so that the roller tube rotates with the pulleys. The roller tube is mounted on a stationary shaft using bearings on each side and a one-way device that allows the pulleys to rotate in one direction. The rotation direction corresponds to the movement of the top of the belt from the front to the rear of the treadmill. The one-way device prevents the pulleys from rotating in the opposite direction, preventing the top of the belt from moving from the rear of the treadmill to the front. The one-way device may be a sprag clutch. The treadmill may be a motor-less, curved treadmill.

Apparatus, system, and method for a flexible treadmill deck

A treadmill including a frame, a suspension connector connected to the frame, and a flexible deck connected to the suspension connector. The flexible deck is configured to flex in response to a load applied by a user striding on the treadmill. The suspension connector includes a suspension pivot that allows rotation of the flexible deck around the suspension pivot.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR NEUROLOGICAL FUNCTION ANALYSIS AND TREATMENT USING VIRTUAL REALITY SYSTEMS

A system and method for providing neurological function analysis and treatment to a person using virtual reality systems. The system and methods comprise a data capture system that receives, fuses, and integrates sensor data from various sensors, a virtual reality engine which uses the integrated sensor information to generate an environmental model and a tracking model, and a therapeutic engine which can assess both the cognitive and physical condition the person, determine a training regime based on the assessment, and apply therapies while the person is engaged in a virtual reality environment. The training regimen can comprise brainwave entrainment and/or dual-task stimulation via virtual elements. In some embodiments, a medical professional may engage with the person in the virtual reality environment.

Artificial Terrain Treadmill Belts and Treadmills

The present invention relates to a treadmill belt having an artificial grass, turf, and/or rocky surface. In some embodiments, the belt may have rocky terrain. The belt is configured to be removably attached to existing treadmill machines or can be integrated to specifically designed machines. A treadmill with attached tread belt features a screen that enables users to choose a specific type of running surface available on the belt. In some embodiments, the screen displays a representation or imitation of the specific surface disposed on the belt. The turf can be raised or lowered to simulate different terrain and grass heights to practice running on hiking trails and other elevated outdoor areas. The treadmills come in different sizes, configurations, and sizes and can be used in athletic training and simulation. The treadmill helps prevent injuries to users when transitioning from running on a treadmill to outdoor terrain surfaces.

A variable-resistance exercise machine with wireless communication for smart device control and interactive software applications, comprising a wireless network interface that receives input from a user device and provides output to a user device; a plurality of moving surfaces that each provide an independent degree of resistance to movement based on received input and that detect movement and provide output to a user device based on the movement; and a plurality of rigid rails that provide a rigid support for a human user to grasp, and that provide attachment points for a user to affix a variety of devices.

Stationary manual exercise sled
09833657 · 2017-12-05 ·

A manual non-motorized exercise treadmill with the ability to provide adjustable resistance to perform strength training resistance movements and simulate the movements of an exercise drive sled in a stationary location is described. A treadmill deck of the treadmill is supported by friction-reduction rollers, a front treadmill roller and a rear treadmill roller. The treadmill is operated by the user pushing and/or pulling with the feet of the user via a belt or harness attached to adjustable stationary hand bars. Variable resistance allows for increased or decreased difficulty in achieving the exercise according to the preference and ability of the user. The resistance is configured to be applied to the rollers and/or belt, making it more difficult for the user to manually move the treadmill belt. The treadmill belt is configured to oscillate for both concentric and eccentric exercises not provided by conventional treadmills.

A treadmill having a curved treadmill deck is provided. Two curved side frames are disposed at two sides of the treadmill frame. Front and rear end ends of each curved side frame are higher than a middle section thereof. Inner sides of the two curved side frames are provided with a plurality of fixing seats, respectively. The fixing seats have fixing holes, respectively. An elastic deck is composed of a plurality of sheets connected side by side. The sheets each have perforations corresponding in position to the fixing holes of the respective fixing seats. A plurality of fixing pins are inserted in the perforations of the sheets of the elastic deck and secured to the fixing holes of the fixing seats. The elastic deck is forcibly fastened by the fixing pins and slightly deformed according to the curvature of the curved side frames to form the curved treadmill deck.
