Brainwave entrainment using virtual objects and gamification
A system and method for brainwave entrainment using virtual objects and gamification, in which brainwave entrainment is applied using some combination of gaming elements, and brainwave activity is enhanced by virtue of the user's active participation. Long-term use is encouraged by virtue of the entertaining nature of the gamification. Depending on configuration, the system and method may comprise a display comprising virtual objects, a light-producing device (other than the display), an audio-producing device such as speakers or headphones, a haptic feedback device such as a vibratory motor, and various devices for monitoring the user's attention. A software application induces brainwave entrainment via one or more of the devices of the system.
Manually powered treadmill
A treadmill includes a frame; a rotatable element coupled to the frame; a running belt at least partially supported by the rotatable element; and, a first element and a second element, both of which are coupled to the running belt. The running belt includes a running surface, at least a portion of which is curved. Further, one of the first and second elements and the running belt freely rotate in a first direction of rotation relative to the frame. However, in a second direction of rotation, opposite the first direction of rotation, the one of the first and second elements is substantially prevented from rotation relative to the frame to substantially prevent or resist rotation of the running belt relative to the frame.

A system and method for integration of body movement computer gaming control and brainwave entrainment comprising an attachment device configured to be attached to a portion of a user's body, a sensor attached to or integrated into the attachment device for detecting movement, a stimulation transducer for providing brainwave entrainment therapy, and a tether and actuator for providing feedback to the user about interactions with the virtual or mixed-reality machines or software applications.
System and method for targeted neurological therapy using brainwave entrainment
A system and method for brainwave entrainment therapy that allows for targeted treatment of particular areas of the brain, particular neurological functions, particular neurological states, and combinations of areas, functions, and states. The system and method receive a neurological assessment identifying areas of the brain or neurological functions to be treated, select one or more treatment modalities and frequencies, select a treatment regimen, and apply brainwave entrainment using the modalities, frequencies and regimen while the subject engages in dual-task activities selected to stimulate the areas of the brain, neurological functions, or neurological states to be treated, enhanced, or altered.
TREADMILL WITH INTERMEDIATE MEMBER
A treadmill is provided according to various embodiments herein. The treadmill includes a first rotatable element coupled to the frame; a second rotatable element coupled to the frame; an intermediate member coupled to the frame that is disposed intermediate the first rotatable element and the second rotatable element and coupled to at least one of the first rotatable element or the second rotatable element; a running belt disposed about the first and second rotatable elements, the running belt defining a non-planar surface; and a safety device coupled to the intermediate member. The safety device is operable to substantially prevent rotation of at least one of the first rotatable element or the second rotatable element in a first rotational direction and permit rotation of the at least one of the first rotatable element or the second rotatable element in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.
Motorized treadmill with motor braking mechanism and methods of operating same
A treadmill includes a frame; a running belt configured to move relative the frame; and a motor coupled to the running belt. The motor is operable in a plurality of user controlled operating modes. In a first operating mode, the force of rotation of the running belt is provided by a user of the treadmill. In a second operating mode, the motor applies a desired braking force to resist rotation of the running belt. In a third operating mode, the motor applies a torque output to the running belt based on a force exerted on the running belt by a user of the treadmill.
Running deck assembly and treadmill
A running deck assembly and a treadmill are provided. The running deck assembly includes: a front running deck; a rear running deck, wherein a front end face of the rear running deck is hinged with a rear end face of the front running deck by a hinge, and a hinging gap is located at a location where the front running deck is hinged to the rear running deck; an annular running belt, which is rotatably mounted around the front running deck and the rear running deck with a clearance; and a flexible layer, which is laid on an upper surface of the front running deck and an upper surface of the rear running deck and covers the hinging gap.

A manually powered treadmill includes a frame; a first rotatable element coupled to the frame; a second rotatable element coupled to the frame; a plurality of bearings coupled to the frame; a running belt at least partly supported by the plurality of bearings, where at least a portion of the running belt defines a curved running surface; and a safety device coupled to at least one of the first rotatable element and the second rotatable element. The safety device is structured to substantially prevent rotation of the at least one of the first rotatable element and the second rotatable element in a first rotational direction and permit rotation of the at least one of the first rotatable element and the second rotatable element in a second rotational direction opposite the first rotational direction.
Running deck assembly and treadmill
A running deck assembly and a treadmill are provided. The running deck assembly includes: a front running deck; a rear running deck, wherein a front end face of the rear running deck abuts a rear end face of the front running deck; a flexible layer, laid on an upper surface of the front running deck and an upper surface of the rear running deck; and an annular running belt, rotatably mounted around the front running deck and the rear running deck with a clearance.

There is provided a treadmill deck (10) for supporting at least part of a treadmill belt, the deck (10) including a foot strike area (12) disposed towards one end of the deck, and a foot take-off area (14) disposed towards another end of the deck, an upper surface of one of the areas including: a lateral inward or outward slope, which provides a lateral gradient across at least part of the area (12, 14), and an upper surface of the other of the areas (14, 12) including one of: a laterally horizontal surface or a lateral inward or outward slope, which provides a lateral gradient across at least part of that other area (14, 12).
