Exercise machine with facilitated identification of one or more control devices of such an exercise machine
An exercise machine (100) used to perform physical activity includes at least one control device (1) which can be actuated by the user to impart a command to the exercise machine (100). The exercise machine (100) includes at least one lighting device (2), the at least one lighting device (2) being positioned on the exercise machine (100) so as to identify the at least one control device (1) with which the exercise machine (100) is provided when the at least one lighting device (2) is lit.
Method of unlocking a control unit of an exercise machine and exercise machine implementing such method
A method for unlocking a control unit of an exercise machine includes providing the exercise machine, having at least one sensor for detecting presence of a user on the exercise machine, with at least one electrical signal representative of a detection carried out at the time of the occupation of the exercise machine by a user. The method further includes switching, by the exercise machine, the control unit of the exercise machine from a first locking condition to at least a second operating condition in which the user may issue commands to the exercise machine by the control unit, based on the at least one electrical signal provided by said at least one sensor for detecting the presence of the user on the exercise machine.
Monitoring and Tracking Athletic Activity
Tracking and monitoring athletic activity offers individuals with additional motivation to continue such behavior. An individual may track his or her athletic activity by completing goals. These goals may be represented by real-world objects such as food items, landmarks, buildings, statues, other physical structures, toys and the like. Each object may correspond to an athletic activity goal and require an amount of athletic activity to complete the goal. For example, a donut goal object may correspond to an athletic activity goal of burning 350 calories. The user may progress from goal object to goal object. Goal objects may increase in difficulty (e.g., amount of athletic activity required) and might only be available for selection upon completing an immediately previous goal object, a number of goal objects, an amount of athletic activity and the like.
INDOOR EXERCISE BIKE HAVING UPHILL AND DOWNHILL MODE FUNCTIONS
The present invention relates to an indoor exercise bicycle capable of implementing an uphill mode and a downhill mode through a simple structure. An indoor exercise bicycle having uphill and downhill mode functions according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a brake unit that controls a pressing force applied to the circumferential surface of one side of a wheel, by means of forward movement of a brake mounting connected to a lead screw rotating through a motor; and a gear unit that is meshed with the brake unit of the lead screw while being spaced apart therefrom by a predetermined distance, and controls speed with respect to the rotational force of the wheel according to the rotation of the lead screw, wherein the brake unit may be operated in an uphill mode, and the gear unit may be operated in the downhill mode.
BICYCLE TRAINING SYSTEM WITH IMPROVED MOTION
A direct-drive bicycle training system and methods of using the same are provided. The system includes a bicycle trainer that rests on a support surface and supports a bicycle frame in an upright manner with respect to the support surface. The bicycle trainer includes a stator, a rotor that rotates with respect to the stator, a cassette affixed to the rotor, a support frame supporting the stator, rotor, and cassette, and a resistance applying mechanism that operatively couples to a portion of a drivetrain of the bicycle frame and applies varying levels of resistance to the portion of the drivetrain. The support frame moves with respect to the support surface in response to a force applied to the drivetrain of the bicycle frame during use of the bicycle training system, generating a more natural movement of the bicycle and simulating on-road use.
MOVING BIKE DEVICE CONTROLLING CONTENTS PLAYING ACCORDING TO CONTENTS PROPERTIES AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF
An embodiment of the present invention provides a moving bike device including: a memory configured to store distance information and altitude information; a content implementation unit configured to adjust a reproduction state of content in response to a speed of a wheel depending on pedaling of a user; a controller configured to calculate a road slope from the distance information and the altitude information, and to calculate a travel distance depending on the pedaling of the user; and a road slope implementation unit configured to adjust strength of a brake in proportion to the road slope corresponding to the travel distance.
EXERCISE MACHINES HAVING SYNCHRONIZING CLUTCH MECHANISM
An exercise machine has a flywheel, a rotary input member, and a clutch mechanism that is positionable in a freewheel position in which rotation of the rotary input member causes rotation of the flywheel and wherein thereafter ceasing rotation of the rotary input member permits continued rotation of the flywheel. The clutch mechanism is alternately positionable in a direct drive position in which rotation of the rotary input member causes rotation of the flywheel and wherein thereafter ceasing rotation of the rotary input member prevents continued rotation of the flywheel. Advantageously, movement of the clutch mechanism from the freewheel position to the direct drive position is prevented when rotation of the rotary input member is out of synchronization with rotation of the flywheel.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HAPTIC SIMULATION IN EXERCISE DEVICES
A haptic simulation exercise device includes a frame, a contact point supported by the frame, and an actuator. The contact point is configured to allow user contact with the exercise device during use of the exercise device. The actuator is configured to displace the contact point relative to the frame.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MAGNETIC USER CONTACT POINTS IN EXERCISE DEVICES
An exercise system includes an exercise device and a wearable article. The exercise device includes a frame and a user contact point connected to the frame. The wearable article is configured to be worn on a user's body. The wearable article includes a magnetic connector that, when positioned proximate to the user contact point, applies a magnetic attraction force to the user contact point.
INDOOR CYCLE LINKED WITH GAME CONTENT
An indoor cycle linked to game content is proposed. More particularly, the indoor cycle includes an exercise equipment unit including a drum, pedals connected to the drum and provided with a built-in wireless pedaling sensor, a saddle provided above the drum, and handles connected to one side of the drum, a processor built into the exercise equipment unit to obtain sensor values from the wireless pedaling sensor, and configured to select a character from the game content to perform an operation of the selected character on the basis of the sensor values obtained from the wireless pedaling sensor, a controller provided in the handles and linked with the processor, so as to operate the character, and a display provided between the handles and linked with the processor, so as to display images of the game content.
