Improved process and plant for preheating a metal charge fed in continuous to an electric melting furnace
A process and plant for preheating a metal charge fed in continuous to an electric melting furnace through a preheating tunnel provided with side walls, a vault and a horizontal conveyor, wherein the metal charge is enveloped in countercurrent by fumes or exhaust gases exiting from the electric melting furnace, includes causing an air intake from the surrounding environment through openings along the preheating tunnel to complete the combustion of the fumes or exhaust gases. The intake is regulated by acting on suction fans and/or on the openings, based on measurements by temperature sensors and/or the composition of the outgoing gases in or downstream of the terminal part of the tunnel. The metal charge is enveloped by jets of gas ejected through a plurality of nozzles arranged non-uniformly longitudinally on the vault of the tunnel, with a greater concentration on the top of the vault of the tunnel.
SYSTEM, METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TEMPERATURE CONTROL OF GAS COOKING APPARATUS
According to one aspect, a cooking apparatus having a main fuel manifold that provides fuel to at least one manual burner and at least one control valve, and at least one controlled fuel manifold in fluid communication with the at least one control valve, each controlled fuel manifold for providing fuel to at least one controlled burner. The cooking apparatus also includes at least one thermocouple, each thermocouple monitoring at least one measured temperature within the cooking apparatus. The cooking apparatus also includes an input device for receiving a desired temperature set-point. The cooking apparatus also includes a controller having a microprocessor operable to compare the at least one measured temperature and the temperature set-point. In response to the comparison, the controller will selectively adjust the at least one control valve to restrict an amount of fuel flowing to the at least one controlled fuel manifold.
Cooking appliance with programmable zone profiles
A temperature display and/or control system is disclosed for a cooing apparatus, such as a grill, comprising a plurality of individual zones to provide individual zone temperatures. Each zone of the grill is associated with a temperature sensor, such as a thermocouple, and a visual indicator to indicate the zone temperature, such as control knob bearing a multi-color LED. A controller obtains a signal from the temperature sensor indicating a raw temperature and converts the raw temperature to an actual zone temperature based on a temperature profile selected for the zone. The temperature profile is configurable for each zone based on a configuration of the zone in order to maintain an accurate temperature conversion despite alterations to an environment.
Oil and Gas Process Equipment Burner Emission Prevention Device
An electronically controlled burner management system for oilfield process equipment. The system includes a vessel fluid temperature sensor and electronic valve for interruption of main burner fuel flow. When process equipment is retrofitted with this system total gas production is increased, reduces fugitive emissions of unburned gas, and reduces hazards. The system integrates with existing pneumatic thermostatic control, making it easy to control and can be bypassed in the event of failure.
COMBUSTION DEVICE
The disclosure provides a combustion device for burning LP gas filled in a gas cylinder as fuel in a combustion unit. The combustion device includes: a control unit for controlling a combustion operation based on a preset operation table such that a combustion output reaches a target output, and an output detection part for detecting the combustion output. In a case where the combustion output detected by the output detection part is risen by a reference value or more relative to the target output, the control unit notifies of a lowering in the remaining amount of LP gas in the gas cylinder.
COMBUSTION MONITORING SYSTEM
Systems, methods, and computer readable medium are provided for determining interferometric data and spectral data associated with combustion conditions of a flame in a combustion chamber using a sensor head including a first vacuum cavity, a diaphragm operatively interfaced to an inner portion of the combustion chamber, and an optical sensor interrogator configured on a computing device and coupled to the sensor head via optical fibers. The optical sensor interrogator including an interferometer configured to determine interferometric data associated with the flame based on light transmitted and reflected via a first optical fiber and a spectrometer configured to determine spectral data associated with the flame based on light transmitted via a second optical fiber.
COAL-FIRED POWER GENERATION SYSTEM AND AIR HEAT WITH RECIRCULATION PATH AND RELATED METHOD
A coal-fired power generation system may include a boiler outputting flue gas, a coal pulverizer associated with the boiler, and a heat exchanger. The heat exchanger may be configured to exchange heat from the flue gas to a primary air path and a secondary air path. The primary air path is coupled to the coal pulverizer, and the secondary air path is coupled to the boiler. The coal-fired power generation system may include a controllable air recirculation path coupled from an output of the primary air path to an input of the secondary air path.
System and method for bimodal air control in a kettle-style grill
Exemplary embodiments of a system and method for bimodal air control in a kettle-style grill are configured to be detachably mounted to the exterior of a kettle-styled grill such as, but not limited to, a Weber® charcoal grill. When mounted to the kettle-styled grill, a plenum-like component directs air flows to the interior of the grill's kettle via the kettle's lower body damper holes. A manually adjustable intake damper in the plenum component allows, restricts, or prevents a drawn ambient air flow into the plenum component. Separately, a forced air flow generated by a fan may also be provided into the plenum component. Adjustment of the intake damper may also adjust damper blades inside the grill's kettle. Ash that falls out of the kettle's damper holes falls through the plenum component and is captured in an ash receptacle that is removably mounted to the plenum component.
VOLATILLES CAPTURE EDUCTOR SYSTEM
A volatiles consuming eductor system for coated scrap metal furnaces with separate delacquering and melt chambers. Motive gas is forced through an inlet into a mixing chamber in a direction opposite a suction port, creating a Venturi that draws gases from the delaquering chamber through the mixing chamber. The motive gas and the drawn gases mix and are forced through a discharge port, ignited, and injected into the melt chamber to help heat the melt chamber. A computer monitors process conditions and controls a regulator that adjusts the motive gas flow in response to those conditions.
System and method for optimizing combustion of boiler
A system for controlling a boiler apparatus in a power plant to combust under optimized conditions, and a method for optimizing combustion of the boiler apparatus using the same are provided. The boiler control system may include a modeler configured to create a boiler combustion model, an optimizer configured to receive the boiler combustion model from the modeler and perform the combustion optimization operation for the boiler using the boiler combustion model to calculate an optimum control value, and an output controller configured to receive the optimum control value from the optimizer, and control an operation of the boiler by reflecting the optimum control value to a boiler control logic.
