Exercise apparatus and methods
An exercise device and methods for using the exercise device. The exercise device is a spherical structure having a rigid surface and an opening therein for the user's hand to grasp a handle affixed in the center of the spherical structure. A series of exercises may be performed with the exercise device, including push-ups, rows and swings.
Device and methods for tuning a skeletal muscle
A method of differentially tuning a lower limb muscle in a human in need thereof is provided. The method includes placement of at least two calibrated, differential disturbances or protuberances under the human's feet thereby tuning a lower limb muscle.
Exercise apparatus
Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to a sliding exercise apparatus. In various embodiments, the sliding exercise apparatus includes a sliding unit with a platform, a sliding surface, a motion sensor, and a transmitter. The sliding unit moves in response to pressure applied against the platform, as the sliding surface is adapted to slide along a ground surface in one or more directions. The motion sensor generates activity data based on one or more characteristics of the movement, such as speed, direction, etc. The transmitter sends the activity data to a computing device, which is adapted for processing, storing, and sharing information based on the activity data.
Exercise System
An exercise system, in a first mode of operation, provides for strengthening of the legs of a user and enhancing the user's ability to develop and maintain balance and, in a second mode of operation, for providing various forms of core, arm, and upper body training. The system includes two resilient hemispheres each having a projecting dome and, on an opposite side, a rigid substantially flat weighted base in peripheral relationship about each hemisphere. A circumferential peripheral ring is proportioned to engage a periphery of the base of each hemisphere. An outer area of the periphery of each base includes engagement elements with means connecting rings secured to the engagement elements. Resistance training bands of selectable resistance are securable to the connecting rings. A push-up handle of each hemisphere is press-fittably securable into an axial recess with the weighted base and selectably connects to different weights within the recess.
Material for Enhancing the Effects of Exercise
A compressible material is provided for use with athletic equipment and apparel for enhancing the effects of physical exercise for a person. The material can include one or more compression members that extend from shoes, insoles for shoes, exercise gloves, wraps for exercise equipment, exercise mat or floor covering, headbands, socks, exercise garments, free weights and sports helmets. The compression members can be made of one or more of rubber, thermoplastic rubber, foam rubber, polyurethane rubber, silicone rubber, thermoplastic resin and thermoplastic elastomer. Positioning the compressible material such that it is between the user and any surface for example when exercising, requires the person to maintain balance while performing the exercise by using other muscles that would not ordinarily be used during the exercise, and provides proprioceptive feedback to the person's central nervous system.
BAREFOOT TRAINING AND EXERCISE DEVICE
An exercise device and associated methods that in configurable in either a glider mode or a balance mode. The device includes: a footbed having a toe separator, a chassis having a first surface mated to the footbed and a second opposed surface having a plurality of attachment points; a strap configured to secure a foot onto the footbed; and at least one balance dome releasably attachable to a selected attachment point.
Push up apparatus and methods
One or more aspects comprise an apparatus comprising: (a) a base component comprising a flat lower surface and a concave upper surface having a first curvature; and (b) a handle component comprising a convex lower surface having a second curvature; wherein the first curvature and the second curvature conform sufficiently to allow the handle component to rotate three-dimensionally within the base component, and wherein at least one of the concave upper surface and the convex lower surface comprises means to allow the handle component to rotate three-dimensionally within the base component. Other aspects and embodiments, including methods of use and manufacture, will be apparent to those skilled in the art after reviewing the description and drawings provided herein.
Removable exercise attachment device for footwear
A removable exercise device attached to a users shoe for use during exercise. The device includes a variety of removable and interchangeable accessories to be used for various physical activities and exercises. These accessories are designed to place user's foot in a declined position. The accessories include wheels and bottoms with various shapes, heights, and materials.
Sport swing training device
A golf swing training device generally guides and trains a golf swing with a particular focus on weight transfers and hip rotations throughout the golf swing. The device includes a baseboard that provides a bottom fulcrum which aids an athlete in training a correct weight distribution throughout the golf swing. A pedal assembly, which includes a front pedal and a back pedal (corresponding to front/back feet), engages with a top fulcrum to aid the athlete in training correct hip rotation throughout the golf swing.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR STRENGTHENING AND REHABILITATING THE ANKLE JOINT
The present invention comprises a device for strengthening, improving range of motion and/or improving flexibility in ankle joints and/or rehabilitating injured ankle joints. The device comprises a structure or frame, at least one resistance mechanism connected to the structure or frame and a support platform connected to the at least one resistance mechanism for supporting the patient's foot. Rotating, flexing, inverting and/or everting the foot connected to the ankle of interest, which results in pressure applied to the support platform by the subject foot, increases and/or decreases the tension in the at least one resistance mechanism. A variety of stretches and/or strengthening and/or rehabilitating exercises may be performed with the device. The support platform is suspended within the frame on the at least one resistance mechanism and, as a result, the support platform may be rotated, flexed, inverted and/or everted in an infinite number of direct
