Heater with Valve Configuration

Disclosed is a dual-fuel heater having one or more thermocouples that operate a control valve that, in turn, controls whether fuel is distributed from a regulator to a burner based on the signal generated by the thermocouple(s). Further disclosed is a primary fuel selector valve that selects the fuel being used based on the operation of a user. The primary fuel selector valve provides fuel to the control valve upstream from the thermocouples, allowing for upstream control mechanisms such as a slave valve, to control the flow of fuel to the control valve.

A heater can be configured to operate with either a first fuel at a first pressure or a second fuel at a second pressure. In some embodiments, a pressure regulator unit is configured to regulate the pressure of either the first fuel or the second fuel and to direct either the first fuel or the second fuel towards a combustion chamber. A nozzle assembly can be configured to inject the fuel into the combustion chamber.

Systems and methods for operation of a flexible fuel combustor

The present disclosure relates to systems and methods that are useful for controlling one or more aspects of a power production plant. More particularly, the disclosure relates to power production plants and methods of carrying out a power production method utilizing different fuel chemistries. Combustion of the different fuel mixtures can be controlled so that a defined set of combustion characteristics remains substantially constant across a range of different fuel chemistries.

DUAL FUEL IGNITION DEVICE AND WORK METHOD THEREOF AS WELL AS SAFETY TYPE DUAL FUEL CONTROL SYSTEM BASED THEREON AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

The present invention provides a dual fuel ignition device and a work method thereof, wherein the ignition device can output electric potential according to the opposite in-series connection of two thermocouples in a high-heating value gas igniting end and a low-heating value gas igniting end and the heating condition of the thermocouples, and can control the switching on or off of a control valve on a gas flow according to the effective heat electric potential generated by the thermocouples in the process of ignition, so as to avoid the danger condition that the main burner generates high fire caused by the misoperation of the gas appliance, therefore, the safe use can be guaranteed.

Method, system and apparatus for firing control

Disclosed herein is a method of controlling the air to fuel ratio in a burner containing a venturi assembly. The venturi includes an air inlet, a primary fuel inlet with a converging section, a throat portion downstream from the converging section, a diverging section downstream from the throat portion, an outlet, and a secondary gas inlet disposed downstream from the converging section and upstream from the outlet. The method comprises introducing fuel into the fuel inlet, receiving air through the air inlet by inspiration, and feeding a gas through the secondary gas inlet, the flow rate and content of the gas fed through the secondary gas inlet being selected to result in a desired air to fuel ratio through the outlet. A method of firing a heater, a burner, a furnace and firing control systems also are disclosed.

Burner assembly and method of combustion

Variable momentum burner assembly for separately injecting fuel gas and oxidant in a combustion zone, comprising at least two fuel gas canals, at least one oxidant canal and a fuel gas distributor, whereby the at least two fuel gas canals comprise an inner fuel-conducting passage forming an inner fuel gas outlet and an outer fuel-conducting passage forming an outer fuel gas outlet, said inner and said outer fuel-conducting passages being coaxially arranged; and whereby said fuel gas distributor comprises a first fuel gas chamber in fluid connexion with the inner fuel-conducting passage of the at least two fuel gas canals and a second fuel gas chamber in fluid connexion with the outer fuel-conducting passage of the at least two fuel gas canals.
