Apparatus and methods relate to a multi-modal rehabilitation device having a reconfigurably lockable, adjustable knee stabilizer and a removable foot plate provided with removable resistance elements. In an illustrative example, the resistance elements may be repositionable. The foot plate may be provided with rollers. The rollers may be configured for use in gliding exercises. The rollers may be configured for self-massage therapy. The rollers may be removable. The rollers may be disposed in a removable leg band which may be disposed around a leg of a user. In an illustrative example, the device further includes a graduated self-deflating thermal-compression device. Various embodiments may provide multiple therapy modalities in an efficient, economical, and user-friendly device.

An apparatus, kit, and method for rehabilitating and/or strengthening the soft tissues of a user's lower arm is disclosed. The apparatus has a first arm with a proximal end and a distal end; a second arm with a proximal end, a distal end, one or more discrete sections therebetween for engaging one or more weights, and a means for providing an audible feedback to the user upon completion of an exercise repetition or a half-repetition; and a hinge in contact with the proximal ends of the first and second arms. The hinge is configured to adjust the distance between the distal ends of the first and second arms, or the angle separating the first and second arms.

The therapy device comprises a deflection tube and a handle, which are rotably disposed so as to be mutually perpendicular or parallel to one another. The deflection tube is made of transparent plastic or glass. It is semi-circular, closed on both ends, and filled with a transparent liquid that contains a freely floating bubble or ball, which acts as an indicator. When the handle is rotated, the indicator floats away from the center of the deflection tube toward one of its ends. The tube is marked at regular intervals with indicia, preferably numerals, which quantify the degree of deflection of the indicator toward an end of the tube, with higher numbers corresponding to greater deflection and hence greater rotation of the handle.

A virtual reality (VR) system includes a VR display and a VR movement apparatus that includes hand user interfaces (UIs) and foot UIs that can support the hands, feet, seat, and total weight of a user. The VR movement apparatus allow the user's hands and feet to move in 3-dimensional space that include vertical, lateral, and fore-aft direction movements. A computer running VR software coordinate and synchronizes the VR movement apparatus and the VR display to provide system users with simulated activities in a VR environment.

A shoulder strengthening apparatus includes a base, a shaft having a distal end portion and a proximal end portion pivotably coupled to the base, a hand rest coupled to the distal end portion of the shaft such that the hand rest is configured to move with the shaft relative to the base, and a resistance mechanism configured to restrict movement of the shaft relative to the base.

The device as disclosed herein is simple and easy to use, and inexpensive to produce. It provides a good calf workout from home for the calf and lower leg. It comprises a foot baseplate having a lower curved surface or frame, a series of straps to attach the user's foot to the baseplate and an attachment point for a resistance band.

A foot or leg harness is disclosed for use with a means of resistance. The harness provides improved muscle activation for lower body exercises. The foot or leg harness includes a harness portion to attach user. The harness is designed to attach to a means of resistance. The point of resistance is distributed into the harness through an angular strap portion so that resistance for the exercise is encompassing the foot or leg as a unit rather than one particular area.

A device for exercising upper leg portions and hips which includes a frame, an arm pivotably connected to the frame, and a leg pad pivotably connected to the arm and configured to contact the user's leg during use. The frame having an arm strut and a seat strut. The seat strut having a seat location fixing unit defined by a seat location fixing rod and a seat location fixing place. The seat location fixing place is connected to the frame having laterally spaced apart vertical holes therein for insertion of the seat location fixing rod which attaches to an underside of the seat and is configured as a support post between the seat and the holes within the seat location fixing place. The holes are configured for the user to locate said seat location fixing rod at varying distances and locations from the arm strut.

The present invention includes an arm; a leg pad; a long rectangle shaped seat; a seat angle fixing unit on the seat, for adjusting the angle between the seat and the leg pad (when viewed from above) according to his/her purpose so that the seat can be adjusted to be perpendicular or parallel to the leg pad when viewed from above; and thus the to the user is allowed to move the exercising leg of the user to the back of the user or perform a motion for stretching his/her back straight from a starting pose at which the user lie down on his/her back placed on the seat, wherein the leg pad is placed above the user's pelvis.

A device for training and rehabilitation of a limb is provided. The device provides a board with an ability to magnetically levitate a movement base above the board to allow for controlled movement of a limb or other body part of a user needing training and rehabilitation in various directions.
