This disclosure relates to systems and methods of predicting physical parameters for a combustion fuel system. In one embodiment of the disclosure, a method of predicting physical parameters of a combustion fuel system includes causing water injection in at least one combustor. The water injection is associated with at least one time and performed during gaseous fuel operations or after liquid fuel operations. The method includes measuring exhaust spread data associated with the water injection and allows correlating the exhaust spread data to at least one physical parameter associated with a nozzle or a valve of the fuel system. The method further includes storing the exhaust spread data, the at least one physical parameter, and the at least one time to a database. The method further provides stored historical data from the database to an analytical model. The analytical model is operable to predict, based at least partially on the stored historical data, at least one future physical parameter associated with a future time.

Method for replacing a swirler

A method for replacing a swirler (2) of a premixing or main burner of a burner arrangement (1), wherein the swirler (2) is connected to a distributor flange plate (5) of the burner arrangement (1) via a fuel gas feed pipe (3) and a fuel oil feed line (4) accommodated therein. The fuel gas feed line and the fuel oil feed line are severed to enable removal of the separated end portion of the fuel gas feed line. A sleeve is installed to replace the removed end portion.

DEVICE FOR INSTALLING AND REMOVING A COMPONENT ON A GAS TURBINE

The invention relates to a device for installing and removing a component on a gas turbine, having a rail system on which in particular a rotor can be displaced along a predetermined displacement axis, and having a terminal positioning part which is fixedly connected to the rail system. The positioning part has at least one guide portion which is designed to co-operate mechanically with a respective counterpart guide portion on the housing of the gas turbine, in order to achieve a suitable orientation of the device with respect to the housing of the gas turbine. The positioning part also has at least one connecting section which is designed in each case to form a fixed but releasable connection to a respective counterpart connecting section on the housing of the gas turbine construct.

An insertion tool is provided for an engine defining an access opening and including a component defining at least in part a cavity. The insertion tool includes: an insertion tool arm having a plurality of segments, the insertion tool arm configured for insertion through the access opening into the cavity and the plurality of segments configured to be in a fixed position relative to one another within the cavity; and a base coupled to the insertion tool arm and configured to be positioned outside the cavity and to move the insertion tool arm along at least two degrees of freedom.

Manufacturing methods for multi-lobed cooling holes

A method for producing a diffusion cooling hole extending between a wall having a first wall surface and a second wall surface includes forming a cooling hole inlet at the first wall surface, forming a cooling hole outlet at the second wall surface, forming a metering section downstream from the inlet and forming a multi-lobed diffusing section between the metering section and the outlet. The inlet, outlet, metering section and multi-lobed diffusing section are formed by laser drilling, particle beam machining, fluid jet guided laser machining, mechanical machining, masking and combinations thereof.
