A segmented chimney connected to the cooking chamber further controls the heat in the cooking chamber.

A firebox basket system for use in a firebox of a grill, including a bowl-shaped basket formed of annular rings of metal, the bowl-shaped basket including a pair of opposed divider supports secured to an inner surface of the basket, a flat bottom plate disposed in a bottom portion of the basket, and a divider plate having a pair of side edges that extend between a top and a bottom edge of the divider plate, wherein the side edges of the divider plate are slidably received in the divider supports, thereby dividing an interior volume of the basket into equal halves.

A stove top barbeque may be used with common stoves to provide grilled cooking results. The stove top barbeque includes a base, a lid, and a grate for supporting food. The base includes lower flutes for catching liquids, and inverted upper flutes above the lower flutes to guide the liquids into the lower flutes. The lower flutes are staggered upwards from the middle pair outwards to distribute to distribute the flame below more evenly. This configuration allows for direct flame-grilling of food placed on the grate. The upper and lower flutes have a gradual slope to carry liquids to a trough along the front of the stove top barbeque. The grate lifts off for cleaning. The lid has an open position and a closed position over the base and is removable by lifting from the base. A catch holds the lid open in a nearly vertical position to drain condensation.

A multi-purpose grill is described. The grill may include a housing comprising at least one housing sidewall defining a housing interior. The at least one housing sidewall may include a firebox door and a firebox opening leading to the housing interior. The grill may also include a pan that may be located in the housing interior, a cooking grate that may be located above the pan, a removable sleeve and a removable lid that may be located above the cooking grate. A burner for burning fuels and modular heat utilizing appliances therefor. The burner includes a fuel holder, an outer wall surrounding the fuel holder and defining a combustion chamber, and optionally, a second wall surrounding the outer wall. Air is inducted from an inlet which may be an ash pan pivotally coupled to the outer wall at the bottom to open the combustion chamber. Supplementary combustion air is conducted to just above the fuel holder by the outer wall. Additional supplementary combustion air is conducted to just above the fuel holder by the second wall. The burner may include a pivotally mounted cooking grate and a pivotally mounted solid cover for closing the combustion chamber, and supporting legs.
