Regulator
A regulator assembly is disclosed. The regulator assembly can include a regulator having a gas inlet and a gas outlet. The regulator assembly can also include an extension pipe having a proximal end and a distal end. The regulator assemble can also include an orifice disposed in the extension pipe for modification of the gas flow.
Temperature sensing and smart gas cooking
A gas cooktop may include: a gas burner; a sensor configured to sense temperature of a cooking container heated by the gas burner; a valve configured to control flow rate of gas from a gas source to the gas burner; and a control system including circuitry. The control system may start operation of the gas burner; receive sensor signals from the sensor indicating the temperature of the cooking container; and based on received sensor signals representing the sensed temperature of the cooking container and a cooking profile indicating one or more durations and one or more temperatures, control the valve to change the gas flow rate to the gas burner.
TAILORED FOOD PREPARATION WITH AN OVEN
A method for operating a connected oven based on subjective user feedback, wherein the connected oven includes a set of in-cavity sensors configured to monitor the foodstuff throughout a cooking session; the method comprising: executing a cooking session according to an initial set of operation instructions to achieve a target food output condition; collecting subjective feedback values from the user for the resulting food output condition of the foodstuff after the cooking session; and updating the initial set of operation instructions based on the feedback values from the user.
HOT SURFACE IGNITERS FOR COOKTOPS
Hot surface igniter assemblies used in cooktops are shown and described. The hot surface igniters include a silicon nitride ceramic body with an embedded, resistive, heat-generating circuit. The igniters are less than 0.04 inches thick, and when energized, they reach surface temperatures in excess of 2000° F. in under 4 seconds to ignite combustible gas such as propane, butane, or natural gas. Examples of cook top burner systems are also provided which allow the igniter to remain on after ignition at a power level that is lower than during ignition but high enough to ignite the cooking gas should a flame out occur. Examples are also provided of burners that ignite on a low flow setting (e.g., simmer) as opposed the high flow settings that are common in cook top industry.

Method for detecting anomalies associated with a gas appliance
The invention refers to a method for detecting anomalies associated with a gas appliance (1), the gas appliance (1) comprising at least a gas inlet (2), at least one gas burner (3) and gas distribution means (4) coupling the gas inlet (2) with said at least one gas burner (3), the method comprising the steps of: —gathering information regarding the gas flow or the operational state based on detection means (5.1, 5.2) (S20); —evaluating said gathered information in order to detect gas flow anomalies or operational anomalies, thereby obtaining evaluation information (S21); —providing alert information from a communication interface of the gas appliance (1) to a user device (6) depending on said evaluation information (S22).
COOKING APPLIANCE WITH UNINTENTIONAL CONTROL ACTIVATION DETECTION
A cooking appliance that includes: a gas cooking element; an igniter located next to the gas cooking element to ignite the gas cooking element; a gas valve for regulating gas flow to the gas cooking element; a burner control coupled to the gas valve to vary the gas flow to the gas cooking element; and a control circuit coupled to the burner control and for activating the igniter when the burner control is positioned within a predetermined range of positions, where the control circuit detects when the burner control has been moved through the predetermined range of positions in less than a predetermined time, and in response to determining that the burner control has been moved through the predetermined range of positions in less than the predetermined time, generate an alert to a user.
OPERATOR CONTROL DEVICE COMPRISING A MULTI-PART OPERATOR CONTROL ELEMENT, AND DOMESTIC APPLIANCE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A DOMESTIC APPLIANCE
An operator control device for a household appliance includes an operator control element defining a longitudinal axis. The operator control element includes a cylindrical main part and an adjusting ring separate from the main part and arranged so as to engage around the main part. The adjusting ring is displaceable relative to the main part in a direction of the longitudinal axis of the operator control element for adjusting an operating condition of the household appliance. A display unit displays information on a display region on a lateral wall of the main part of the operator control element.
Oven appliance and methods of operating during a religious holiday
An oven appliance may include a cabinet, a heating element, temperature sensor, and controller. The heating element may be within the cabinet to heat a cooking chamber. The temperature sensor may be mounted in thermal communication with the cooking chamber. The controller may be configured to initiate a cooking operation. The cooking operation may include directing the heating element according to a predetermined holiday heating cycle during a first holiday occurrence, collecting a plurality of temperature readings from the temperature sensor during the first holiday occurrence as a first temperature group, determining, following the first holiday occurrence, a temperature deviation from a set reference temperature, the temperature deviation being based on the first temperature group, generating a modified holiday heating cycle based on the determined temperature deviation, and directing the heating element according to the modified holiday heating cycle during a second holiday occurrence following the first holiday occurrence.
Cooking appliance with electronically-controlled gas burner verification
An apparatus, cooking appliance and method functionally verify a gas burner that is controlled by two or more electronically-controlled gas valves coupled in series with one another. Functional verification is performed during ignition and/or shut off of the gas burner at least in part by sequencing the activation and/or deactivation of the gas valves and testing the ignition state of the gas burner while one of the valves is activated and the other is deactivated.
