Adaptive cooking system

An adaptive cooking system includes an oven with at least one heating element configured to heat the oven, at least one steam generator configured to produce steam within the oven, and at least one fan configured to circulate air within the oven. The adaptive cooking system further includes at least one thermometer configured to detect a temperature of air circulating within the oven. A controller is communicatively coupled to the oven components. The controller is configured to cause the fan to circulate air within the oven for a predetermined amount of time. For example, the fan may initially circulate air within the oven while the heating element and the steam generator are turned off or powered down. The controller is further configured to detect a temperature of the air and control the heating element and the steam generator based on the temperature of the air.

An oven includes (a) a cooking chamber; (b) a steam generator in fluid communication with the cooking chamber, the steam generator configured to transform water into steam for delivery to the cooking chamber; (c) a water reservoir in fluid communication with the steam generator, the steam generator further configured to draw the water from the water reservoir to be transformed into the steam; (d) a water fill assembly in fluid communication with the water reservoir and configured to accept water from a source external to the oven that is subsequently deposited into the water reservoir; and (e) desiccant disposed in fluid communication between the water reservoir and the water fill assembly. The oven can include a filter assembly disposed in fluid communication between the water reservoir and the water fill assembly. The desiccant can be disposed within the filter assembly.

A method for managing an apparatus for cooking food, including an oven for cooking the foods, fixed to a support frame with which a collecting tank is associated that is designed to collect the liquid produced in the oven during the cooking of food or delivered to the oven during a washing procedure of the oven, includes detecting a plurality of different levels reached by the liquid in the collecting tank and communicating the reaching of the levels to a command-and-control device of the oven, one of the levels being a preset permissible maximum level that the liquid can reach in the collecting tank.

The present invention relates to a method for controlling a steam generating system (10) for a domestic steam cooking oven (40). A steam generator (26) and an inlet valve (16) are controlled by a regulating thermal switch (30) and a limiting thermal switch (32). The regulating thermal switch (30) and the limiting thermal switch (32) respond to a temperature within and/or at the steam generator (26). A threshold value of the limiting thermal switch (32) is higher than a threshold value (Ts) of the regulating thermal switch (30). The steam generator (26) is deactivated and the inlet valve (16) is activated by the regulating thermal switch (30), if the temperature (T) of the steam generator (26) exceeds the threshold value (Ts) of the regulating thermal switch (30).

The present disclosure provides an operation control panel push-pull mechanism and a steam-roasting electric appliance. The operation control panel push-pull mechanism is capable of driving an operation control panel of an electric appliance to move between a first position and a second position, and includes a driving part, a fitting part and a first pushing part; the fitting part is fixed relative to a body of the steam-roasting electric appliance, the first pushing part is rotatably connected with the driving part and fixedly connected with the operation control panel, a rail structure is provided on the first pushing part, the fitting part cooperates with the rail structure, and the driving part is capable of driving the first pushing part to drive the operation control panel to move between the first position and the second position.

Humidity measurement

An apparatus such as a domestic oven incorporates an induction motor which drives a fan. The temperature of the circulating gas and the slip of the rotor, coupled to the fan, are used to determine the humidity of gas within the oven. The temperature of the stator coil is also taken into account. The fan is driven with relatively high torque to maximize the signal to noise ratio. The fan may be provided as the main fan or as a secondary fan dedicated to humidity measurement. In either case the fan has a long operational lifetime.
