OVEN AIR CURTAIN

An oven comprises an interior electronics cavity defined within electronics cavity walls. The oven includes an air inlet for receiving ambient air from an ambient space outside the electronics cavity into the interior electronics cavity and a first air outlet for returning steam laden air from a cooking space to the ambient space outside the cooking space. The oven also includes a second air outlet positioned to separate flow going into the air inlet from flow from the first air outlet. An air plenum can be defined outside of the cooking space, and the air inlet can be defined in a first portion of an exterior interface of the air plenum. The second air outlet can defined in a second portion of the exterior interface.

The outlet is positioned upstream of the air grille such that the outlet is in fluid communication with the air grille. The oven appliance further includes a trough positioned below the air grille such that the trough permits fluid communication between the outlet and the air grille and the trough obstructs fluid communication between the air grille and an interior of the cabinet.

A universal door frame is configured to aid in assembling a door for use with a cooking appliance. The door frame includes four corner components and variable-length rails to be connected therebetween. The corner components include hinge receivers and mounting brackets for panels of the door. In some examples, one or more of the rails have a vented construction for enabling air-cooling of the door. The door frame optionally includes vent covers for covering the vented rails.

The gas flue has an exhaust gas inlet open to the cooking chamber, the exhaust inlet being located in a lower panel of the gas flue, a cooling air inlet open to the cooling air passageway, an outlet located above the exhaust gas inlet, above the cooling air inlet, and above an uppermost portion of the cooking compartment, and an upper deflector located above the outlet and angled relative to vertical at a non-zero first angle such that the upper deflector extends over at least a portion of the outlet.
