A cover apparatus operable to at least partially cover an appliance is disclosed. The cover apparatus may include a front side, a left side coupled to the front side, and a right side coupled to the front side. The front side, the left side, and the right side may at least partially form an enclosure. The cover apparatus may also include one or more actuators operable to be mounted to a fixture situated above the appliance. The one or more actuators may be coupled to an underneath surface of the front side via one or more connectors that extend between the one or more actuators and the underneath surface of the front side. The cover apparatus may be operable to move between an open position and a closed position. The appliance may at least partially occupy the enclosure when the cover apparatus is in the closed position.

It is disclosed a foldable surface of a first flat expanse. The surface includes four identical pockets for receiving four flat rigid inserts, and borders between the pockets. The borders allow folding of the surface a much smaller second flat expanse. A shape of the flat rigid insert may be a rectangle, a square, half a circle, a quarter of a circle, or an equilateral right-angle triangle. The foldable surface includes textile, fire-retardant treated textile or a textile withstanding a temperature of 1000° F. The filled pockets are covered with sheaths. Margins of the pockets and margins of the sheaths include mating straps. The foldable surface further includes a skirt disposed downward from the perimeter of the first flat expanse. The skirt may have height of at least 5 inches, and may include holes for its anchoring to underneath objects.

A fire pit stand has a plurality of fire pit legs for supporting the fire pit. The fire pit legs define a fire pit leg height. The height of the table accessory is less than the fire pit leg height for facilitating locating the table accessory under the fire pit chamber of the fire pit for use of the table accessory as a heat shield.

With the cover, being easier to clean than the stove top, or even disposable, stove top cleaning is reduced or mitigated.
