SILICON PADS FOR PROTECTING RANGES AND COOKTOPS
A silicone sheet or multiple pads lie over electric heating elements. The sheet may be one continuous sheet, or it may be divided into separate components for each heating element. If it's a continuous pad, openings sized for the heating element and a cover sized for the opening cover the heating element. If separate pads are used, each pad has an opening, and a cover sized for the opening covers the heating element under the opening. When using one heating element, the user removes its removable cover and places the pot or pan in the opening. Any splatter lands on the pad, and cleaning the splatter from the pad does not damage the glass top.
COOKING APPLIANCE
A cooking appliance includes a housing having a cooking compartment, which is surrounded by a bottom surface, a pair of side surfaces, and a back surface of the housing, and has an upper surface and a front surface which are open. A door includes a door upper surface part which covers the upper surface of the housing and a door front surface part which is connected to a front side of the door upper surface part and covers the front surface of the housing and opens and closes the upper surface and the front surface of the housing by rotating about a rear side of the door upper surface part. A heating part is installed in at least one of the housing or the door.

REFLECTION SHIELD FOR A COOKING OVEN CAMERA
In order to avoid that the picture signal obtained from an oven camera that is mounted at the exterior side of an oven door is disturbed by reflections, it is suggested to provide a reflection shield (40) for an oven camera (18) that is mounted at the exterior side of an oven door (30; 14) for monitoring an oven cavity (12) of a cooking oven (10), the reflection shield (40) comprising: a shield element (40) for covering a portion of the oven door (30; 14), a viewing window (46) for the camera (18); and at least one clamp (42) for clamping the reflection shield (40) to a handle (36; 16) of the oven door (30; 14).

Multizone oven with variable volume steam-assisted cooking zones
A multi-compartment oven provides separate humidity controlled zones using separately controlled steam generators and humidity resistant partitions between cavities. A removable humidity wall may allow resizing of the cavities while providing the necessary humidity sealing and may be augmented by venting control based on neighboring cavity usage.

GAS COOKTOP FIRE PREVENTION AND ALARM SYSTEM
A home cooking appliance includes a gas surface cooking unit and a gas cooktop fire prevention system. The gas surface cooking unit includes a gas burner, a support surface configured to support a cooking vessel above the gas burner, a cooktop floor below the gas burner, and a gas supply line supplying gas to the gas burner. The gas cooktop fire prevention system includes a solenoid valve on the gas supply line and a gas supply cutoff unit configured to detect a temperature of the cooktop floor and close the solenoid valve when the detected temperature of the cooktop floor is equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold temperature of the cooktop floor, thereby cutting off a supply of the gas through the gas supply line to the gas burner.
COOKING APPLIANCE WITH TOP BREATHING BURNER HAVING BOTTOM BREATHING ASSIST THROUGH TOP SHEET
A domestic home gas cooktop is provided. The cooktop has a top sheet having a primary combustion air hole through the top sheet; a gas burner cup mounted to the top sheet; and a gas burner base mounted to the burner cup. The primary combustion air hole is configured to allow first primary combustion air to flow from beneath the top sheet to the burner base, and the primary combustion air hole is located remotely from the burner cup.
Appliance Pad
An appliance pad that is applicable to protecting kitchen appliances, such as a range or stove, is described. The appliance pad is manufactured of a polymer such that a bottom surface of the pad has a hardness so that the pad adheres to at least a portion of a front shelf of the appliance. The front shelf of the appliance where the pad is installed is a portion of the appliance between a cooking section of the appliance and the user. The pad also provides protection of excess heat conducted by the front shelf.
