Support for radiant covering and floor heating elements
A support for the heating elements of radiant coverings and floors includes bosses having a concave surface. In some examples, the concave surface includes at least one adhering low relief that creates an extraction-preventing undercut on the concave surface.
Retaining panel for radiant thermal transfer and method
A panel, for retaining a heating or cooling tube relative to a substrate, has a standoff extending from a primary flap, wherein the standoff includes a tube contacting surface. A lateral fold extends from the standoff and includes a jaw having a tube retaining surface, wherein the tube contacting surface and the tube retaining surface are located to define a tube retaining channel in a closed position of the jaw. The panel can be formed of a single piece of sheet metal, wherein the sheet metal and configuration of the panel bias the jaw to the closed position.
Pulling Device for Flexible Conduit Tubing
A pipe pulling device guides extruded plastic conduit tubing through a building structure. The device has a fastener body including a main shaft supporting a resilient expansion sleeve thereon that can be inserted into an open end of the tubing. A nut is threaded onto the main shaft for axially compressing the expansion sleeve between the nut and a fastener head at the inner end of the main shaft to radially expand the sleeve within the tubing and frictionally grip the fastener body relative to the tubing. The nut is tapered outwardly and supports an elongate, rigid tip body extending longitudinally outward from the tubing to guide insertion of the tubing through cavities in the building structure. Various accessories can be secured to the nut or the tip body to assist insertion of the pipe pulling device through different building structures.
FLOOR HEATING SYSTEM INCLUDING MEMBRANES THAT ARE CONFIGURED TO BE JOINED TOGETHER TO HOUSE A HEATING CABLE, AND FLOORING UNDERLAYMENT INCLUDING SUCH MEMBRANES
A flooring underlayment includes a base membrane and a cover membrane. The base membrane is configured to be installed between a subfloor and floor tiles to allow movement of the floor tiles relative to the subfloor. The cover membrane is configured to be coupled to the base membrane to form a flat surface for supporting the floor tiles. The cover membrane is configured to be coupled to the base membrane using at least one of a snug fit and a snap fit.
Construction products and systems for providing geothermal heat
A geothermal heat delivery system supplies geothermal heat for various residential, surface heating applications, including heating driveways, paths, sidewalks, homes, roofs, swimming pools, and commercial applications, including heating roadways, parkways, highways, airport runways, parking lots and sidewalks. The geothermal heat delivery system includes a series of heat pipes that are used to provide geothermal heat from a borehole to a structure or a surface, which can for example, melt precipitation on a road, driveway or roof, without the use of a ground source heat pump.

Geopolymer material for panels
A geopolymeric material is described having compressive strength at 28 days ranging from 15 to 100 N/mm.sup.2, obtainable by curing for 12 hours at a temperature ranging from 20° C. to 60° C., from a geopolymeric aqueous mixture comprising the following inorganic components in the following parts by dry mass: metakaolin 1565 potassium silicate and/or sodium silicate 2040 aggregates recycled from CDW (Construction and Demolition Waste) 5300; said geopolymeric aqueous mixture is obtainable by mixing 20175 parts by mass of water with said inorganic components, and has a viscosity at 23° C. between 100 and 10000 Pa.Math.s, wherein: i) the viscosity is measured via Brookfield methodology, ii) the aggregates recycled from CDW belong to one or more of the classes 17.01.01, 17.01.02, 17.01.03, 17.01.07 according to the European Waste Catalogue, iii) the aggregates recycled from CDW have a grain size less than or equal to 4 mm, preferably less than or equal to 2 mm.
CORE ELEMENT FOR SANDWICH ELEMENTS, USE OF SUCH A CORE ELEMENT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUCH A CORE ELEMENT
Core element for sandwich elements, wherein the core element has at least two hemisphere panels which are combined with one another, wherein each hemisphere panel has, between planar portions, and spaced apart from one another, uniform hemispherical elevations, wherein the two or in each case two hemisphere panels face one another by way of their elevations, wherein, with two or in each case two hemisphere panels combined with one another, the elevations of one hemisphere panel each bear with their apexes or apex surfaces against a planar portion of the other hemisphere panel, and wherein two hemisphere panels are connected to one another by virtue of the elevations being connected, in the region of their apexes or apex surfaces, to the planar portion of the other or another hemisphere panel against which they bear. Moreover, the invention also relates to the use of a core element and to a method for producing a core element.
Temperature control system
A support structure for a heating or cooling system includes a plurality of projections designed to be capable of retaining one or more thermal elements positioned adjacent thereto. The projections are positioned so as to form a first set of substantially parallel undulating channels, each channel having one of the projections forming at least a part of the inner radius of each undulation, with each projection having a recess formed in a side wall thereof facing said channel. The undulations of the channel ensure that a thermal element positioned in the channel will make contact with the projections each time it has to bend around one, without requiring spacing of the projections to squeeze the thermal element. The thermal element can thus be held securely without any play (unwanted lateral movement) in a channel that is slightly wider than the thermal element. Recesses in the channels at the contact points also restrict movement in the vertical direction, thus preventing the thermal element from ‘popping out’ of the channel, while not requiring any restriction narrower than the thermal element.
SMART THERMOSTAT AND A THERMOSTAT ADAPTER WITH INTEGRATED SAFETY INTERLOCK FOR INSTALLATION AND DIAGNOSTICS OF AN IN-FLOOR HEATING SYSTEM
An adapter device and/or a thermostat device for use during installation and testing of in-floor heating systems. The adapter device allows for temporary electrical interconnection between a mat and an AC power source, and includes at least one switch configured to actuate based on a user-supplied force (e.g., a finger press) to temporarily electrically couple the mat to an AC power source. The at least one switch is further configured to automatically de-actuate in the absence of the user-supplied force to electrically decouple the mat from the AC power source. The thermostat device includes at least one integrated power measurement circuit for testing and diagnostics of an in-floor heating system.
