Rank Listing of Competitive Performances of Exercise on a Machine
Among other things, a processor executes instructions to: update, in real time during a current instance of an exercise activity by a subject competitor, a graphical user interface displayed on a display device, the display device being included in a first exercise machine operated by the subject competitor or included in a mobile electronic device. The graphical user interface includes: a ranking of the subject competitor and a second competitor based on (i) a projected performance metric of the subject competitor over a predefined scope of the exercise activity compared to (ii) a historical performance metric of the second competitor over the predefined scope of the exercise activity in a previous instance of the exercise activity, an illustration of a margin between the historical performance metric of the second competitor and the projected performance metric for the subject competitor, and an illustration of the projected performance metric.
EXERCISE SYSTEM AND METHOD
A method for displaying archived exercise classes comprising displaying information about archived exercise classes that can be accessed by a first user via a computer network on a display screen at a first location, wherein the first user can select among a plurality of archived classes, outputting digital video and audio content comprising the selected archived class, detecting a performance parameter for the first user at a particular point in the selected class, displaying the performance parameter on the display screen, and displaying performance parameters from a second user at a second location on the display screen such that at least one of the performance parameters from the first user and at least one of the performance parameters from the second user at the same point in the class are presented for comparison.
Generating Custom Audio Content for an Exercise Session
System, apparatuses, and methods can provide customized exercise sessions and customized videos corresponding to the exercise session. Audio clips can be dynamically selected to make custom audio content for an exercise session. The audio clips and metadata can be obtained, where the audio clips correspond to categories. The exercise session can include one or more components. A destination timeline for a component can include one or more first segments that require audio, and one or more second segments that can optionally have audio. Audio clips can be selected for the various segments, where a segment can be designated for a particular category of audio clips. Identification information for the selected audio clips can be saved and used to generate the custom audio content.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DYNAMICALLY TRANSFORMING USER HEALTH AND EXERCISE-RELATED DATA INTO VISUAL, AUDIO, TEXTUAL, AND PHYSICAL DATA REPRESENTATIONS
Various technological methods are utilized to collect user health and exercise-related data from one or more users of an application and the collected user data and user activity data is utilized to generate visual, audio, textual, and/or physical data representations, which may be provided to the one or more users either dynamically in real-time during an activity, such as a physical exercise activity, or may be provided to the one or more users after the completion of one or more activities.
Collaborative exercise
A report of a state of a local exercise device based at least in part on a user response to an electromagnetic resistance unit in the local exercise device is sent. An update based on a state of a remote exercise device is received. The electromagnetic resistance unit is caused to change state in reaction to the received update.
Exercise system and method
An exercise machine includes a processor, a display, a deck, and a belt rotatable about the deck. The machine also includes a sensor operably connected to the processor and configured to detect a performance parameter associated with a belt of the exercise machine. In implementations described herein, the performance parameter may be disregarded when it is determined that a user is not on the belt.
Exercise monitoring and coaching using audio devices
Methods, systems, and computer program products for exercise monitoring and coaching using audio devices are provided herein. A computer-implemented method includes processing a first set of one or more auditory prompts, wherein the first set of auditory prompts pertains to initiation of at least one activity with respect to a user; detecting, in connection with the first set of auditory prompts, one or more sets of movements being performed by the user, wherein said detecting comprises (i) emitting one or more acoustic waves towards the user and (ii) processing reflection of the one or more acoustic waves from the user; classifying, based on said detecting, the one or more sets of movements as one or more predefined exercises; and generating and outputting a second set of auditory prompts to the user, wherein the second set of auditory prompts pertains to the predefined exercises being performed by the user.
System And Method For Networking Fitness Machines
A system and method for networking fitness machines for allowing an instructor to control various settings for a plurality of exercise machines simultaneously, and for allowing an individual user and/or trainer to modify the settings of an individual exercise machine. The system and method for networking fitness machines generally includes a trainer remote control device, one or more machine-mounted onboard trainer controllers, and a machine-mounted onboard user controller. The trainer remote control device may be securely mounted to the arm of a trainer so that the trainer's hands remain free to instruct exercisers. The trainer remote control device includes a touch screen that displays selections corresponding to various settings on the exercise machines. The trainer remote control communicates with the plurality of exercise machines via a wireless network or Bluetooth connection allowing the trainer to change the settings of a plurality of exercise machines in a class mode simultaneously.
