Temperature control system
A support structure for a heating or cooling system includes a plurality of projections designed to be capable of retaining one or more thermal elements positioned adjacent thereto. The projections are positioned so as to form a first set of substantially parallel undulating channels, each channel having one of the projections forming at least a part of the inner radius of each undulation, with each projection having a recess formed in a side wall thereof facing said channel. The undulations of the channel ensure that a thermal element positioned in the channel will make contact with the projections each time it has to bend around one, without requiring spacing of the projections to squeeze the thermal element. The thermal element can thus be held securely without any play (unwanted lateral movement) in a channel that is slightly wider than the thermal element. Recesses in the channels at the contact points also restrict movement in the vertical direction, thus preventing the thermal element from ‘popping out’ of the channel, while not requiring any restriction narrower than the thermal element.
Floor warming systems with weather compensation
A floor warming system includes floor warming elements for coupling to a floor and a first sensor assembly for generating a first signal indicative of at least one of a floor temperature and a floor warming element temperature. A thermostat controller receives the first signal and a second signal indicating an ambient outdoor temperature for controlling operation of the floor warming elements. The thermostat controller includes memory storing an instruction set and data related to a user setpoint and a processor for running the instruction set. The processor is operative to calculate an operational floor setpoint based on the first signal, the second signal and the user setpoint.

SMART THERMOSTAT AND A THERMOSTAT ADAPTER WITH INTEGRATED SAFETY INTERLOCK FOR INSTALLATION AND DIAGNOSTICS OF AN IN-FLOOR HEATING SYSTEM
An adapter device and/or a thermostat device for use during installation and testing of in-floor heating systems. The adapter device allows for temporary electrical interconnection between a mat and an AC power source, and includes at least one switch configured to actuate based on a user-supplied force (e.g., a finger press) to temporarily electrically couple the mat to an AC power source. The at least one switch is further configured to automatically de-actuate in the absence of the user-supplied force to electrically decouple the mat from the AC power source. The thermostat device includes at least one integrated power measurement circuit for testing and diagnostics of an in-floor heating system.
A PANEL AND AN ELECTRICAL END CONNECTOR, A METHOD FOR COUPLING OF PANELS AND A HEATING SYSTEM
A panel comprising a heat providing layer is presented. The panel includes panel coupling means arranged for coupling the panel to adjacent panels. End panel grooves, at least partly extending between first and second opposite longitudinal sides of the panel, are arranged in the end panel coupling means of the panel. In order to provide heat, electrical end connectors are arranged in the end panel grooves of the panel. The electrical end connectors are arranged for being electrically connected to the heat providing layer of the panel, at least partly including an electrically conductive material, and at least partly protruding from the one or more end panel grooves, thereby providing an electrical connection between the heat providing layer of the panel and a corresponding heat providing layer of at least one adjacent panel coupled to the panel.
Electrical heating device for motor vehicles
A radiant heating device for producing radiant heat in a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle includes a heating surface for emitting heat radiation, a heating element for providing heating power, a first temperature sensor for detecting a first temperature in a specific spot and for providing a corresponding first temperature indication, and a second temperature sensor for detecting a second temperature on the surface and for providing a corresponding second temperature indication. In order to detect a local over-heating of the heating surface, a difference between the two temperature indications is determined. In the event of a defect, a protective operating mode is then selected.
Surface heating assembly and related methods
A method of forming a plurality of individual heating cables sets includes creating at least a portion of a master cable set by coupling alternating sections of cold and hot cable section, each section of cold cable section having a length twice a model cold cable section length and each section of hot cable section having a length twice a model hot cable section length. A continuous metallic ground sheath is applied about substantially all of the master cable set and a continuous outer jacket is applied about the continuous metallic ground sheath. The master cable set is segmented at defined locations to create a plurality of individual heating cable sets having an overall length of the model hot cable section length plus the model cold cable section length.
Operating method for an electric heater
An operating method for an electric heater may include heating a fluid passing the electric heater to an outlet temperature by at least one heating element and operating the electric heater in one of a normal mode or a protection mode. In the normal mode, the at least one heating element may be supplied with at least one of a direct current and a direct voltage. In the protection mode, electrical power supplied to the at least one heating element may be regulated by pulse width modulation. The electric heater may be operated in the normal mode if a reference temperature is less than or equal to a critical temperature and in the protection mode if the reference temperature is greater than the critical temperature.
DEVICE FOR SUPPORTING AND FASTENING HEATING PIPES OF A HEATING SYSTEM PLACED IN SUBFLOORS, WALLS OR CEILINGS OF BUILDINGS
The invention relates to a device for supporting and fastening heating pipes of a heating system placed in subfloors, walls or ceilings of a building.
The device comprises: a laminar body having a first face and an opposite second face, a plurality of fastening elements made in one piece on the first face of the laminar body and configured to fasten said heating pipes on the first face. The invention is characterized in that both the laminar body and the fastening elements of the device are in a mixture comprising at least one thermoplastic polymer and thermally conductive inorganic fillers.
Heat panel, a heating system and a method for installing such a heating system
A panel comprising a heat providing layer is presented. The panel includes panel coupling means arranged for coupling the panel to adjacent panels. In order to provide heat, longitudinal grooves are arranged in the panel along the whole length of the panel. Electrical end connectors are arranged in the longitudinal grooves to protrude from at least one end side of the panel. The electrical end connectors are arranged for being electrically connected to the heat providing layer, and for being electrically connectable to at least one corresponding end connector of at least one adjacent panel, and for being at least partly resilient, thereby providing a connecting force F.sub.con being essentially perpendicular to the at least one of the first and the second end sides when the panel is coupled to at least one adjacent panel, and being directed towards at least one corresponding end connector of the at least one adjacent panel.
