METHODS OF MANUFACTURING PRODUCTS FROM MATERIAL COMPRISING OILCAKE, COMPOSITIONS PRODUCED FROM MATERIALS COMPRISING PROCESSED OILCAKE, AND SYSTEMS FOR PROCESSING OILCAKE
Methods of manufacturing products from material comprising oilcake, compositions produced from materials comprising processed oilcake, and systems for processing oilcake are provided herein. A product is produced by a method comprising de-solubilizing protein in a first material comprising oilcake to produce a processed material comprising an insoluble protein fraction by extruding the first material in a pressure range of 10 bar to 80 bar. The processed material is hydrolyzed to produce a mixture comprising the insoluble protein fraction and a hydrolyzed fraction. The insoluble protein fraction is separated from the hydrolyzed fraction. The insoluble protein fraction is processed into the product by extruding the insoluble protein fraction in a pressure range of 10 bar to 80 bar.
PROCESS FOR SEPARATION OF DRY FOOD AND FEED MATERIALS USING A TRIBO-ELECTROSTATIC SEPARATOR DEVICE
A tribo-electro static separation process and system for the preparation of various food and feed products. A tribo-electric separation process and system for fractionating a feed mixture comprising at least two members of the group of proteins, starches, soluble and insoluble fibers. Namely, supplying a feed mixture comprising at least two of the group of proteins, starches, soluble and insoluble fibers to a tribo-electric separator and simultaneously charging and separating the feed mixture into at least two subfractions, with one of the subfractions enriched in one of protein, starch and fiber and having a composition different than the feed mixture.
Products and methods using soy peptides to lower total and LDL cholesterol levels
Controlled studies demonstrate that products and related methods using soy related peptides lower total and LDL cholesterol levels in individuals. In one exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a product containing an effective amount of lunasin peptides that lowers cholesterol levels in an individual that consumes the lunasin peptides is provided. In another exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a composition containing an effective amount of lunasin peptides or lunasin peptide derivatives and one or more enzyme inhibitors is provided. In a related exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure, a method for lowering or reducing cholesterol levels in an individual is provided where a product containing an effective amount of lunasin peptides to an individual is provided and a claim that the product lowers or reduces cholesterol, total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol or lipid levels in an individual that consumes the composition is made.
Non-Traditional legume protein products such as: The legume protein bars, legume chocolate chip cookies, and legume rice crispy squares, presents an easier way to get the plant fiber from the legumes into our diets
These delicious and nutritious legume protein treats have natural plant protein that provides the building blocks for healthy muscles and tissues. Fiber is beneficial for weight loss, these treats are loaded with fiber, and other nutritional benefits.
Shredded products having a marbled surface
A method for making a shredded product having a marbled surface and the resulting product are provided. The method includes partially cooking an uncooked mass in a first cooking process to form a partially cooked mass and then combining the partially cooked mass with an inclusion component to form an inclusion mass. The inclusion mass is cooked in a second cooking process to form a fully cooked mass. The material is shredded to form continuous net-like sheets having a marbled appearance defined by a first portion of the continuous net-like sheets with the low or non-glutenous material having a first overall color and a second portion of the continuous net-like sheets with the inclusion component having a second overall color different from the first overall color.
Method for producing a cooked food product
Method for producing a cooked food product, the method comprising the steps of: selecting a raw material, comprising chick peas, grinding the raw material to obtain a flour, hydrating the flour with water to obtain a flour mixture, preparing an oil mixture comprising at least olive oil and water, mixing the flour mixture and the oil mixture to obtain a batter, cooling and storing the batter to obtain a gel, cutting the gel to obtain individual food elements, and cooking the food elements to obtain a cooked food product, wherein the method is characterised in that, prior to the step of mixing the flour mixture and oil mixture, the oil mixture is heated, wherein the flour mixture is heated by mixing the flour mixture and the oil mixture due to transfer of heat contained in the oil mixture.
Manufacture of Snack Food Pellets
A method of manufacturing a starch-based snack food pellet for manufacturing an expanded snack food, the method comprising the steps of: feeding a first starch ingredient into a cooking device; inputting mechanical and thermal energy into the cooking device so as to cook and gelatinise the first starch ingredient in the cooking device, thereby to provide a processed starch component; adding a potato starch ingredient comprising native potato starch to the processed starch component to provide a starch mixture; and forming the starch mixture into pellets by extrusion. Also disclosed is a starch-based snack food pellet for manufacturing an expanded snack food.
EMULSIFIED SEASONING AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
An emulsified seasoning including fine food particles derived from beans or nuts and having a water content of 50 mass % or less, an oil or fat, an organic acid, and water. A solid content of the emulsified seasoning may be 10 to 98 mass %, a total oil or fat content of the emulsified seasoning may be 10 to 60 mass %, a modal diameter of the emulsified seasoning may be 0.3 to 100 m, and a water content of the emulsified seasoning may be 20 to 80 mass %. The emulsified seasoning may have a viscosity of 4,000 mPa.Math.s or more, as measured with a B-type viscometer at 20 C.
