Method of operating a heating or cooling system
A method of operating a heating or cooling system, comprising (1) providing a heating or cooling apparatus comprising first and second heat exchangers, (2) providing a conduit module modularly coupled to the heating or cooling apparatus and adapted to be coupled to a plurality of fluid circuits for heating or cooling loads, and (3) operating a control system configured to operate the conduit module in a heating or cooling mode. The conduit module is positioned between the heating or cooling apparatus and the plurality of fluid circuits. The conduit module comprises first, second, and third supply conduits and first, second, and third return conduits, to convey first, second, and source fluids to and from respective first, second, and source fluid circuits. The conduit module comprises first, second, third, and fourth three-way valves to selectively regulate flow of the first, second, and source fluids.
SYSTEM, AN ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR HEATING AND COOLING
A system, an arrangement and method for heating and cooling of several building spaces-or buildings includes two or more building spaces or buildings, and a secondary thermal network including a supply line and a return line. The arrangement further comprises two or more building connections arranged parallel to each other and between the supply line and provided in connection with the two or more building spaces or buildings, a ground hole and a geothermal heat exchanger provided to the ground hole and arranged in connection with the secondary thermal network.
A HYBRID HEAT PUMP
The present invention relates to an electrically driven, vapour compression heat pump device. The heat pump device comprises a variable speed or variable capacity refrigerant compressor, a compression stage having a first condenser, an expansion stage having a first evaporator, a DC to AC variable speed compressor drive inverter unit, a grid AC to DC power supply unit and an electronic control unit. The control unit varies the thermal capacity, and the power consumed by the device, in response to an input from at least one of: a renewable electricity generation input, a premises net consumption monitor, a utility grid frequency monitor, and a third party control input.
THERMAL HEATING SYSTEM AND A CONTROLLER FOR THE SAME
A system comprising a main circuit for routing a flow of heat transfer liquid out of a thermal storage to at least one outer heat exchanger and back to the thermal storage again, a main circulation pump configured to force the heat transfer liquid through the main circuit, a temperature sensor configured to measure the temperature of the heat transfer liquid, and a controller configured to control the main circulation pump based on temperature readings of the temperature sensor such that a calculated Reynolds number for the flow of heat transfer liquid is constant at a predetermined target Reynolds number over at least a primary temperature range.
Building Designs and Heating and Cooling Systems
Building heating and/or cooling methods are provided that can include: distributing fluid from within conduits within a concrete floor of a building to conduits within grounds surrounding and/or supporting the building; diverting at least some of the fluid exiting the conduits within the grounds surrounding and/or supporting the building to a dehumidifier operably associated with the interior of the building; and returning the at least some of the fluid from the dehumidifier to the conduits within the grounds surrounding and/or supporting the building.
DISTRICT ENERGY DISTRIBUTING SYSTEM
A district energy distributing system is disclosed. The system comprises a geothermal heat source system comprising a geothermal heat source and a feed conduit for a flow of geothermally heated water from the geothermal heat source. The system further comprises a district feed conduit, a district return conduit and a plurality of local heating systems, each having an inlet connected to the district feed conduit and an outlet connected to the district return conduit, wherein each local heating system is configured to provide hot water and/or comfort heating to a building, A central heat exchanger is connected to the feed conduit of the geothermal heat source system such that an incoming flow of geothermally heated water is provided to the central heat exchanger.
GEOTHERMAL HEAT EXCHANGER, GEOTHERMAL HEAT ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR CHARGING THERMAL ENERGY INTO GROUND
A geothermal heat exchanger, a geothermal heat arrangement and to a method in connection with a geothermal heat arrangement. The geothermal heat exchanger includes a piping arrangement having a rise pipe and a drain pipe, and a first pump arranged to the piping arrangement. The rise pipe and drain pipe are arranged in fluid communication with each other for circulating the primary working fluid. The rise pipe is provided with a first thermal insulation surrounding the rise pipe along at least part of the length of the rise pipe and the first pump is arranged to circulate the primary working fluid in a direction towards a lower end of the rise pump.
Geothermal source on-site power generation plant with computing facility and method
An electronic signals processing facility which includes a site with a geothermal hot water resource which feeds hot water to an on-site heat engine that drives an on-site electricity generator which provides electrical power to an array of microprocessors, located in an enclosure structure, that processes data transmitted from a remote location at high speeds. The processed data is transmitted back to the remote locations at high speeds.
Method of operating a heating and cooling system
A method of operating a heating and cooling system, including (1) providing a heating/cooling apparatus comprising first and second heat exchangers, (2) providing a conduit module modularly coupled to the heating/cooling apparatus and adapted to be coupled to a plurality of fluid circuits for heating and/or cooling loads, and (3) operating a control system configured to operate the conduit module in a plurality of heating and/or cooling modes. The conduit module is positioned between the heating/cooling apparatus and the plurality of fluid circuits. The conduit module includes first, second, and third supply conduits and first, second, and third return conduits, to convey first, second, and source fluids to and from respective first, second, and source fluid circuits.
