SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEARCHING FOR BEACONS
The invention relates to a system for searching for a target beacon (BC) attached to an object or to a living being to be located comprising said target beacon (BC) emitting a target radio signal in an emission range (P) and a detection device (F) capable of detecting the target radio signal (SC) emitted by the target beacon (BC), and to the method for searching for the corresponding target beacon (BC).
SNOW BURIAL SURVIVAL MASK
A snow burial mask of the present disclosure comprises a burial sensor module, a processing unit, and a location tracker. The burial sensor module is configured to measure at least one indication of a snow burial. The location tracker is connected to an external device to receive a first location data and the processing unit. The processing unit is connected to the burial sensor module and configured to determine whether the snow burial has occurred based on measurements of the burial sensor module. The location tracker sends out the location data if the processing unit determines the snow burial has occurred.
Recovery assistance device, method and system
The invention discloses a recovery assistance device for helping in rescuing victims of avalanches, earthquakes or boat capsizes. The device is capable of calculating a position from combinations of a previous position and distances to other devices. Different configurations are possible, with a basic configuration consisting of a smart phone having waveform generation capabilities, processing and GNSS receiving capabilities. The device is programmed to be used in a defined mission by an application. The device can also receive a number of add-ons as a battery add-on, a modem add-on, a sound wave generation add-on, antennas, and protection, possibly waterproof, if adequate. Devices of the same type can be carried by people to be rescued and rescuers. The device is therefore quite versatile and can increase significantly the efficiency of rescue teams in different use case scenarios.
AVALANCHE TRANSCEIVER AND METHOD FOR OPERATING AN AVALANCHE TRANSCEIVER
The invention relates to an avalanche transceiver, having a transmitting unit for transmitting at least one transmit signal, a receiving unit for receiving at least one transmit signal from at least one further avalanche transceiver, and a control device for controlling at least one loudspeaker. The control device is designed to control the at least one loudspeaker to output at least one voice message on the basis of at least one event. The at least one event is associated with a search for the at least one further avalanche transceiver. The invention further relates to a method for operating such an avalanche transceiver.
Platform-agnostic avalanche airbag attachment system
A platform-agnostic buoyancy aid includes a bladder having a direction of inflation, an inflator coupled to the bladder and configured to fill the bladder with a gas in response to actuation by a trigger, a trigger connected to the inflator and configured to actuate the inflator in response to a tension applied to a ripcord, and a removable directional attachment rig holding the bladder, inflator and trigger, the removable directional attachment rig configured to attach the buoyancy aid to at least one of a wearer's backpack, clothing or harness such that the relative angle of the direction of inflation of the bladder to the wearer's centerline remains substantially constant.
Emergency rescue equipment comprising a harmonic reflector circuit
An emergency rescue equipment having a harmonic reflector circuit comprising an antenna connected to a non-linear circuit via a matching circuit and a casing that in part enclose the harmonic reflector circuit, wherein the harmonic reflector circuit is configured to receive a signal at a receive frequency (fRX), and configured to transmit said received signal at a transmit frequency (fTX), where the transmit frequency is a multiple of the receive frequency, the harmonic reflector circuit wherein the receive frequency (fRX) is in an interval from a first frequency to a second frequency, where the first frequency is at least 800 MHz; and the second frequency is at least 34 MHz larger than the first frequency; the received signal is transmitted at the transmit frequency (fTX) with an output power (Pout) of at least 70% of the maximum available output power (Pmax).
Operating handle for an avalanche rescue system, functional unit of an avalanche rescue system and avalanche rescue system
An operating handle for an avalanche rescue system, with at least one functional element, is arranged to be coupled to the at least one functional element of the avalanche rescue system. The operating handle is used to trigger the functional element. The operating handle is designed on one end as a mouthpiece or embodies such a mouthpiece. The mouthpiece of the operating handle can be coupled to a ventilation functional unit.
