Air terminal device for control of air flow in a ventilation system

An air terminal device for a ventilation system includes a pressure box, with an inlet admitting supply air into the pressure box and outlet openings for admitting supply air out. The air terminal device further includes a cover plate to control and change the open area of the outlet openings. The outlet openings are in a wall of the pressure box forming an outlet surface of the pressure box. The cover plates are arranged to make contact with and slide relative the outlet surface while changing the open area of the outlet openings. The cover plate is located on the high pressure side of the outlet surface. The cover plate cooperates with the outlet surface such that there is at least one outlet opening or suction opening being partly or fully covered by the cover plate also when the air terminal device is set to maximum flow.

A blower may include a lower case having a suction port, a fan provided inside the lower case, an upper case provided above the lower case and having a space through which air blown from the fan flows, a discharge port penetrating the upper case and formed to be elongated, and a flow guide provided in the space and extending in a direction crossing a longitudinal direction of the discharge port.

The nozzle is disposed adjacent to the circulation inlet and configured to accelerate a conditioned air flow into the mixing region such that unconditioned room air is induced by the conditioned air flow to enter the mixing region through the circulation inlet and from the room air intake.

Air diffuser for localized climate control

An air diffuser of a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a mixing chamber having a circulation inlet and a mixing region, a room air intake fluidly coupled with the circulation inlet and separated from the mixing region by a blank-off plate, and a nozzle. The nozzle is disposed adjacent to the circulation inlet and configured to accelerate a conditioned air flow into the mixing region such that unconditioned room air is induced by the conditioned air flow to enter the mixing region through the circulation inlet and from the room air intake.

DISPLACEMENT INDUCTION ENVIRONMENTAL SANITIZING CONTROL SYSTEM

In one or more embodiments, a displacement induction environmental sanitizing control system for controlling the environment in a room is provided. The system includes a housing having a supply air intake configured to receive a supply of pressurized outside air, a room air intake configured to receive air into the housing from the room, and a conditioned air outlet configured to output conditioned sanitized air into the room from the housing. The housing has an airflow path from the room air intake and the supply air intake to the conditioned air outlet. A conditioning element is configured to adjust temperature of air in the airflow path. A sanitation element is configured to sanitize air in the airflow path.

DISPLACEMENT INDUCTION ENVIRONMENTAL SANITIZING CONTROL SYSTEM

In one or more embodiments, a displacement induction environmental sanitizing control system for controlling the environment in a room is provided. The system includes a housing having a supply air intake configured to receive a supply of pressurized outside air, a room air intake configured to receive air into the housing from the room, and a conditioned air outlet configured to output conditioned sanitized air into the room from the housing. The housing has an airflow path from the room air intake and the supply air intake to the conditioned air outlet. A conditioning element is configured to adjust temperature of air in the airflow path. A sanitation element is configured to sanitize air in the airflow path.

LUMINAIRE CHILLED BEAM

Disclosed herein is a luminaire chilled beam that can incorporate lighting into a chilled beam unit without affecting the capacity, performance, or dimensions of the chilled beam. The luminaire chilled beam can include a pressure chamber configured to receive primary air through a primary air inlet. A nozzle plate in a lower portion of the pressure chamber can allow the primary air to be expelled from the pressure chamber and thereby cause an induction of air from an external setting through an induction face and into an induction chamber. A water coil can be configured to treat the induced air within the induction chamber. The induced air and the primary air can be expelled from the induction chamber and into the setting through discharge channels. The luminaire chilled beam can further include a luminaire assembly including a luminaire positioned between the induction face and the discharge channel at the lower portion of the induction chamber, the luminaire configured to illuminate the external setting.
