Windband silencer with means to reduce cross-wind pressure differential
11236914 · 2022-02-01 · ·

A windband for an exhaust fan system. The windband comprises an elongate housing receivable about a exit nozzle of the exhaust fan system, an air inducer formed from a perforated material and positioned adjacent the bottom portion of the elongate housing, and a discharge sleeve positioned adjacent and secured to the top portion of the elongate housing. The discharge sleeve is formed from a perforated material and forms a passageway through which gas from the nozzle and induced ambient air passing through the elongate housing are discharged. The perforated air inducer and discharge sleeve together assist in the minimization of a pressure differential between an upwind side of the windband and a downwind side of the windband when the windband is subjected to wind striking the windband at an angle.

80/90 CFM bath fan with telescoping side extension brackets and side by side motor and blower wheel

Apparatus, systems and methods of 80/90 CFM ventilation exhaust fans for bathrooms with telescoping side extension brackets and side by side electric driven motor and blower wheel, and being used with or without lights. The exhaust fans can include a single main housing, that allows for a blower housing to support the motor and a blower wheel in a side by side arrangement. The exhaust fans can further include an outside wiring box that is externally located to the main housing. The wiring box can have support male plugs and female receptacles for supplying an electrical power supply to the electric motor and light. The side extension brackets can include telescoping members that allow the exhaust fans to be easily attached to structural members inside of a ceiling so that the exhaust fan has a vent cover attached to the ceiling. Inside of the exhaust fans can be light box with closed sides and bottom which prevents incoming air from passing directly onto the lights. Instead incoming air is drawn to pass around the outside of the light box so that the light box functions as a heat sink reducing the heat generated from the light.

METHOD FOR MEASURING PRESSURE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN DIFFERENT PREMISES IN A BUILDING
20170268956 · 2017-09-21 · ·

The invention relates to a method for measuring pressure differences in different premises of a building, in which the pressure difference is measured by means of one or more sensors (2) that measure absolute pressure. The measurement results obtained from the sensors (2) are combined with information on the efficiency of the ventilation of the building, and the pressure difference caused by ventilation is mathematically separated from the measurement result by making use of information on the ventilation efficiency at any one time.

EXHAUST VENT

An exhaust vent is provided including a first portion inserted through an opening in an outer wall of a structure for fluidly connecting to an appliance to be vented within the structure, a second portion fluidly connected to the first portion at a junction and having an open end opening into the atmosphere, a flap disposed at the junction configured to open by pressure from exhaust air directed through the first portion from the appliance and allow the exhaust air to pass through the second portion and be vented through the open end to the atmosphere, and the flap is further configured to close by gravity to seal the junction between the first and second portions when no exhaust air is directed through the first portion from the appliance to prevent back airflow from the atmosphere through the open end through the second portion to the first portion.

Ventilation and drying system and method of using the same

An air handling system includes a housing, a blower, a sensor, an air intake valve, and a controller. The housing includes an outlet to a passenger compartment, a fresh air inlet providing fresh air into the housing and a recirculated air inlet that guides air flow from the passenger compartment into the housing. The blower moves air through the housing. The air intake valve moves between a closed position blocking air flow from the fresh air inlet into the housing and an open position unblocking air flow from the fresh air inlet into the housing. The controller positions the air intake valve relative to the fresh air inlet controlling the flow of fresh air into the housing and thereby maintaining moisture density of the air flow entering the passenger compartment within a prescribed range based on humidity and temperature values from the sensor.

DRY ROOM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SAME

A dry room that controls a dew point temperature in a space to be managed, the room includes a plurality of exhaust units that exhaust air in the space to be managed, in which the plurality of exhaust units are disposed in different regions in the space to be managed, and individually adjust an exhaust amount of the air to be exhausted from each of the regions.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR COMMISSIONING FRESH AIR INTAKE CONTROL
20210381709 · 2021-12-09 ·

There is described a mobile device and method for commissioning air intake control of an environmental control system. A communication component receives multiple air measurements from an air flow sensor, in which the air flow sensor is positioned in a duct compartment of the environmental control system. The processor generates multiple air flow tables based on the multiple air measurements, multiple fan speeds associated with the environmental control system, and multiple damper positions associated with the environmental control system. The communication component transmits the multiple air flow tables to an air intake controller of the environmental control system.

HUMIDIFYING DEVICE FOR TRANSFERRING WATER FROM WASTE AIR OF A WASTE AIR FLOW TO SUPPLY AIR OF A SUPPLY AIR FLOW

A humidifying device for transferring water and/or water vapour from waste air of a waste air flow to supply air of a supply air flow is provided. In the compensating chamber of the housing of the humidifying device, at least one spreading means is arranged, which spreads apart the plate stack of the humidifying device and the housing cover closing the housing in the direction of the longitudinal axis.

Hazardous Gas Evacuation System
20210372646 · 2021-12-02 ·

A system and method for evacuating a harmful gas from an enclosed structure. The operation of the system is triggered by the detection of the harmful gas. Once triggered, normal air circulation through the HVAC duct is stopped. One or more separate evacuation blowers are activated and these pull the air withing the structure out. Some version are housed in a pass-through evacuation module within an existing HVAC duct. Other versions are housed within a combined register/evacuation module.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTROLLING AND ADJUSTING VOLUME OF FRESH AIR INTAKE IN A BUILDING STRUCTURE
20220196265 · 2022-06-23 ·

A fresh-air cooling system and methods of cooling a building structure with the same are provided. The system has an exterior interface assembly, a damper, a register, a duct, and a motorized fan. The exterior interface assembly is connected to the register by the duct and provides a flow path for air outside the building to enter the duct. The motorized fan is disposed in an attic of the building structure and pulls air into the attic from a living space to create a negative static pressure in the living space. The damper is positioned along the flow path from the exterior interface assembly to the living space and opens to allow air outside the building structure to enter the living space in response to motorized fan creating in the living space a negative static pressure that exceeds the cracking pressure of the damper. The cracking pressure of the damper can be adjusted to control the flow rate of outside air through the damper.
