HVAC SYSTEM AIR FILTER
An apparatus and a method are provided for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system air filter for a building ventilation system. The HVAC system air filter comprises a supportive frame configured to orient the HVAC system air filter within the building ventilation system. A composite filter medium retained within the supportive frame comprises a cotton gauze portion and an electrostatic portion. The cotton gauze portion is configured for treatment with a filter oil composition to enhance airflow and filtration of air flowing through the composite filter medium. The electrostatic portion is configured to electrostatically attract and agglomerate airborne molecular contaminants and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) as small as 0.001 microns in diameter. In some embodiments, the composite filter medium comprises substances configured to release a fragrance into air passing through the composite filter medium.
Ventilation System and Method for Operating It
A ventilation system includes a line system which is designed to guide an air stream and to provide the air stream during normal operation via an outlet of the line system for supplying a space. The ventilation system includes a generating unit which is designed to produce reactive oxygen species during a cleaning operation and to feed the same to the air stream conducted in the line system. Also disclosed are methods for operating such a ventilation system and a generating unit for such a ventilation system.
AIR CLEANER
An air cleaner is provided that includes a first air cleaning module including a first fan that generates an air flow toward a first discharge outlet from a first suction inlet; a second air cleaning module including a second fan that generates an air flow toward a second discharge outlet from a second suction inlet; a divider provided between the first air cleaning module and the second air cleaning module, the divider including a dividing plate space; and a printed circuit board (PCB) device provided in the dividing plate space.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL COMPOSITE MICROWAVE AIR PURIFIER
An air purification device for use in an air management system includes a housing formed from a polymer matrix composite structure and a filter arranged within the housing. The filter is formed from a porous composite structure including a plurality of filter fibers such that air is configured to flow through the filter. Microbes within the air are configured to contact the plurality of filter fibers.
