Swim paddle training device
A swim paddle training device is provided. The swim paddle may include opposing upper and lower sides or surfaces; front, rear, left, and right edges extending between or bounding the upper and lower sides; and a plurality of surface features arranged to facilitate proper movement of the swim paddle during swim training. The plurality of surface features may create areas of varying buoyancy to affect the orientation of the swim paddle during swim training, such as promoting a forward, downward, and inward pathway or rotation of the swim paddle during use. The plurality of surface features may include a plurality of grooves defined within at least the lower surface of the swim paddle.

A fluid inflatable member includes a pliable body having a membrane defining an expandable interior space and including an edge defining an opening through the pliable body and an expandable and compressible porous material enclosed within the expandable interior space of the pliable body. The porous material is configured to receive an amount of fluid and distribute the fluid throughout the interior space to increase a rigidity of the pliable body.

A fluid inflatable member includes a pliable body having a membrane defining an expandable interior space and including an edge defining an opening through the pliable body and an expandable and compressible porous material enclosed within the expandable interior space of the pliable body. The porous material is configured to receive an amount of fluid and distribute the fluid throughout the interior space to increase a rigidity of the pliable body.
Swimming assistance mechanism
The present invention relates to a swimming assistance mechanism and, more specifically, to a swimming assistance mechanism that is attached to the arms and increases a propulsion effect by increasing resistance against water via an action like that of the fins of a fish when paddling with the arms for propulsion, so as to assist in enabling easier swimming. The swimming assistance mechanism of the present invention is characterized by comprising: a main body fixed between the palm and the elbow; and a fin foldably installed on the outer surface of the main body.
Aquatic Exercise Device
A fin assembly for aqua resistance exercise comprises a strap having an inner strap and an outer strap, and with fastener(s) provided to an outside of the inner strap and an inside of the outer strap to releasably attach the inner and outer straps together. One or more fins are received on the outer strap and a longitudinal position of the one or more fins is secured by engagement of the inner strap to the outer strap. The length of the inner strap is longer than a length of the outer strap, so that an extending end portion of the outer strap can overlap and engage an opposite end of the outer strap to secure the fin assembly about the user's limb.
Aquatic Exercise Device
A fin assembly for aqua resistance exercise comprises a strap having an inner strap and an outer strap, and with fastener(s) provided to an outside of the inner strap and an inside of the outer strap to releasably attach the inner and outer straps together. One or more fins are received on the outer strap and a longitudinal position of the one or more fins is secured by engagement of the inner strap to the outer strap. Resistance kickboard attachment
A resistance kickboard attachment is disclosed. When attached to a kickboard, the resistance kickboard attachment adds resistance while swimming with the kickboard. The resistance kickboard attachment includes a resistance pocket, with variable resistance provided by an adjustment of a rear aperture of the resistance pocket. The resistance kickboard attachment attaches to the kickboard with a transverse and a longitudinal strap. The transverse strap includes an adjustment on either side of the longitudinal strap which allows the longitudinal strap to be centered on the kickboard.
Resistance kickboard attachment
A resistance kickboard attachment is disclosed. When attached to a kickboard, the resistance kickboard attachment adds resistance while swimming with the kickboard. The resistance kickboard attachment includes a resistance pocket, with variable resistance provided by an adjustment of a rear aperture of the resistance pocket. The resistance kickboard attachment attaches to the kickboard with a transverse and a longitudinal strap. The transverse strap includes an adjustment on either side of the longitudinal strap which allows the longitudinal strap to be centered on the kickboard.
Apparatus and Method for Measuring Force and Power During Unsteady Fluid Motions
Apparatus and methods for measuring force exerted by an object moving in a fluid or force of a moving fluid on a stationary object. Embodiments may be configured to measure power exerted by an object moving in a fluid. At least one sensor disposed on the object outputs at least one sensor signal corresponding to a pressure differential between first and second surfaces of the object. Data derived from one or more sensor signals may be processed according to a model to output a measure of the force and/or power of the object moving in the fluid or the force of the moving fluid on the stationary object, as a function of time. Embodiments may be configured for applications such as providing feedback for control of actuators in electromechanical systems for liquid or gaseous media, and providing performance metrics during water sports, such as swimming and paddling.
