An air-conditioning system is provided that may include a plurality of air-processing apparatuses, each of which includes an inlet formed in one surface thereof that extends perpendicular to a floor or a ceiling and a pre-filter disposed in the inlet, and a filter cleaner configured to clean at least one of pre-filters provided in the plurality of air-processing apparatuses while automatically moving when at least one of the plurality of air-processing apparatuses stops operating.

The filter cleaner may include a housing that forms an external appearance and having a suction hole formed in a first side thereof and a discharge hole formed in a second side thereof, a moving gear rotatably disposed in the housing and configured to move the housing, a gear motor configured to rotate the moving gear, a dust container disposed so as to be introduced into or withdrawn out of the housing and configured to store foreign substances introduced thereinto through the suction hole and to accommodate an agitator rotatably disposed therein, an agitator gear disposed inside of the housing to rotate the agitator, an agitator motor disposed inside of the housing to operate the agitator gear, and a suctioner disposed inside of the housing to induce air to flow into the dust container through the suction hole.

An air purifier comprising a removable particulate or gas filter, an air flow generator, a means for controlling said air flow generator, a first air flow setting with an air filtration air flow speed and a second air flow setting which correlates with sterilisation of an internal surface of the air purifier and/or removable particulate or gas filter. A method for sterilising an internal surface of an air purifier according to any preceding claim by generating an air flow correlating with said second air flow setting. Provided is a filter cleaning device capable of cleaning a filter while suppressing the shortening of the life of the filter.

The present technology provides a filter cleaning device that determines a contaminated region from a plurality of regions of a filter that captures particles or molecules, and supplies energy for reducing a contamination level to some of the plurality of regions determined as the contaminated region. According to the present technology, it is possible to provide a filter cleaning device capable of cleaning a filter while suppressing the shortening of the life of the filter.

A portable air purifier comprising a removable filter, an air flow generator, a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor, a processor for processing input from the temperature sensor and the humidity sensor, and means for activating said air flow generator from a stand-by configuration based on input from both said temperature and humidity sensors and a method for activating an air flow generator in a portable air purifier in stand-by mode, by obtaining information as to ambient temperature from a temperature sensor, obtaining information as to ambient humidity from a humidity sensor, determining likelihood of microbial growth on a removable filter in the purifier and, where conditions are such that microbial growth is of a defined quantum, activating the air flow generator.
