AIR CONDITIONER AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN AIR CONDITIONER
An air conditioner and a method for controlling an air conditioner are provided. The air conditioner may include a case that forms a space therein with an open lower side; a panel that is disposed at lower side of the case, and has an inlet and a plurality of outlets disposed around the inlet; a fan that is disposed in the case; a plurality of wind adjuster that is disposed in each of the plurality of outlets, and adjusts a direction of air flowing through each of the plurality of outlets; a camera that obtains an image of an indoor space; and a controller that controls the plurality of wind adjusters based on image information obtained from the camera. The controller may divide the plurality of outlets into a first area outlet and a second area outlet, and adjust each of the plurality of wind adjusters so that airflows of air discharged through the first area outlet and airflows of air discharged through the second area outlet are formed differently.
Demand/Response Mechanism in a Wireless Sensor Network
A wireless sensor network at a monitored location can be configured to generate sensor channel(s) of data to assess operational conditions at the monitored location. Inputs based on the sensor channel(s) of data are provided to a host system for analysis of a demand to one or more resources at the monitored location. Response messages can be generated based on the demand analysis and transmitted to actuator(s) at the monitored location to effect an adjustment to the operational conditions.
AIR CONDITIONER MAKEUP AIR CIRCULATION
Air conditioner units and methods of operating the same are provided. A method of operating an air conditioner unit includes activating a makeup air system of the air conditioner unit. The makeup air system directs a flow of outside air from the makeup air system to an indoor portion of a housing of the air conditioner unit. The method also includes activating an indoor fan disposed in the indoor portion of the air conditioner unit at a fan speed at least equal to a minimum circulation threshold speed in response to the makeup air system being activated. Activating the indoor fan causes the flow of outside air from the makeup air system to be urged through the indoor portion of the housing. An air conditioner unit may include a controller, and the controller may be configured for performing the method.
Ventilation system with automatic flow balancing derived from a neural network and methods of use
A ventilation system with automatic flow balancing derived from a neural network to consistently achieve a desired flow rate for inlet flow and/or outlet flow in various operating environments to optimize system performance. The system includes a ventilation device that includes an exhaust blower assembly with a blower motor and a control circuit having a mathematical equation that determines an estimated exhaust blower flow based upon select inputs. The ventilation device also includes a supply blower assembly with a blower motor and control circuit having a mathematical equation that determines an estimated supply blower flow based upon select inputs. When the estimated exhaust blower flow is different than an exhaust flow set point, the exhaust control circuit selectively alters power supplied to the exhaust motor. When the estimated supply blower flow is different than a supply flow set point, the supply control circuit selectively alters power supplied to the supply motor.
Ventilation system
A ventilation system includes a first ventilation device, a second ventilation device, a sensor, and an electronic controller. The first ventilation device includes a first fan. The second ventilation device includes a second fan. The sensor is attached to the first ventilation device. The sensor is configured to detect a state of air and to transmit a detection signal indicative of the detected state of air. The electronic controller is configured to receive the detection signal of the sensor and to control the first ventilation device and the second ventilation device based on the detection signal.
SAFETY SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM
A safety system for a heat pump system includes a plurality of valve units each having refrigerant pipe portions with control valves, a refrigerant leakage detector, and a casing accommodating the valves and the refrigerant leakage detector and formed with first and second openings. The safety system further includes a connection structure connecting the internal spaces of the casings via the first and second openings, and a discharge structure connected to the connection structure or one of the casings and configured to discharge air from the internal space of the casing in which a refrigerant leakage has occurred. The casing has first and second lateral faces facing different directions, and the first opening is formed in the first lateral face and the second opening is formed in the second lateral face.
Exhaust demand control system and methods
Methods and apparatus for an exhaust demand control system for measuring one or more contaminants at one or more exhaust locations within one or a plurality of exhaust ducts or plenums served by an exhaust fan system. Example systems and methods can include sensing the one or more contaminants within the one or more exhaust duct locations using a multipoint air sampling system having one or more sensors and comparing contaminant concentration measurements from the one or more of said exhaust duct or plenum locations against an action level to create a fan setback signal.
ODOR PRESENTATION MODULE, ODOR PRESENTATION DEVICE, ODOR PRESENTATION SYSTEM, AND ODOR PRESENTATION METHOD
An object of the present technology is to provide a technology that enables control of an odor. The present technology provides an odor presentation module including a first opening that first airflow containing an odor exits, and a second opening that second airflow exits, in which the first opening and the second opening are provided so that movement of the first airflow exiting the first opening is able to be controlled by the second airflow. The present technology also provides an odor presentation device and an odor presentation system including the odor presentation module. Further, the present technology provides an odor presentation method including a first airflow generation step of emitting first airflow containing an odor from a first opening, and a second airflow generation step of generating second airflow exiting a second opening or second airflow entering the second opening, in which movement of the first airflow exiting the first opening is controlled by the second airflow.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AND DETECTING PATHOGENS
A method of identifying a location of pathogens in a structure including monitoring air within the structure for pathogens to set a baseline level, detecting a rise in pathogen density with respect to the baseline level, at least partially closing at least a first zone of the system, monitoring air from a second zone for a change in relative pathogen density to the previously detected pathogen density, and toggling the first zone and the second zone based on the change in relative pathogen density.
