VARIABLE AQUATIC TRAINING AID
An aquatic training aid includes a paddle member for wearing by a swimmer, a variable diaphragm disposed within the paddle member, the variable diaphragm including a plurality of fitted blades arranged to form an aperture, and a housing peripherally framing the plurality of fitted blades. The variable diaphragm is adjustable to change the aperture from a first expanded position to a second contracted position, and hydrodynamic characteristics of the aquatic training aid when moved through water are affected by the change of the aperture. Controlling the aperture enables the swimmer to adjust the resistance provided by the aquatic training aid when it is moved through water.
Aquatic Shoes Provided With A Float For Walking In Water
The invention relates to an aquatic shoe consisting of a shoe body (1), a pair of wings (3) and floats (4, 4), characterized in that the wings (3) are symmetrical, glued together, and linked to the shoe body (1), below the shoe, so as to constitute a part of the sole (2) of the shoe, and in that the float (4) is integrated below the wings (3), at the sole (2), so that one of its faces covers the sole (2), and in that the wings (3) are fixed by a pivot connection on both sides of the shoe, so that they descend when the foot ascends into the water and rise when the foot goes down into the water so that they return to their original position. The invention also relates to the use of footwear in the fields of recreational water and/or sport and in the paramedical fields. The shoe according to the invention can be used for the rehabilitation of animals.
Swimming assistance mechanism
The present invention relates to a swimming assistance mechanism and, more specifically, to a swimming assistance mechanism that is attached to the arms and increases a propulsion effect by increasing resistance against water via an action like that of the fins of a fish when paddling with the arms for propulsion, so as to assist in enabling easier swimming. The swimming assistance mechanism of the present invention is characterized by comprising: a main body fixed between the palm and the elbow; and a fin foldably installed on the outer surface of the main body.
Swim fin assembly
A swim fin assembly for increasing propulsion during swimming includes a sleeve that is worn around a lower leg while swimming. A plurality of fins is each hingedly coupled to the sleeve. Each of the fins is urged into a deployed position on a downstroke of the lower leg during swimming. In this way each of the fins frictionally engage water thereby increasing thrust generated on the downstroke. Each of the fins is urged into a stored position on an upstroke of the lower leg during swimming to resist frictionally engaging the water thereby reducing drag on the upstroke.
