HEAT MAPPING SYSTEM

Systems and methods for providing visualization of health risks within a building. Health risk levels for building spaces are determined using occupancy data and health risk data relating to a risk of contracting or spreading an infectious disease. A visualization of the health risk levels is generated and presented on a user interface.

The system is arranged such that light developed by the one or more lighting elements mixes within the cavity and transmits through the optical component covering the cavity, and the system further includes a controller that coordinates operation of the blower and motor assembly and the one or more lighting elements from a remote location.

Air-conditioning control device

An estimation unit estimates a thermal sensation representing how hot or cold a user feels based on an image of the user taken by a camera. A control unit controls an air-conditioning operation of an air conditioner based on an estimation result of the estimation unit so that the thermal sensation falls within a target range, the air conditioner targeting a room in which the user is present. The image shows a motion and/or state of the user representing a hot or cold sensation of the user, and the estimation unit extracts the motion and/or state of the user from the image to estimate the thermal sensation.

Aerosol Purifier for HVAC System

An air purifying device, system and method for cleaning and infecting a conditioned space or zone. The air purifying system may include a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system with HVAC equipment configured to provide conditioned air to a conditioned space, where the HVAC system also includes a condensate trap configured to collect condensate produced during operation. The air purifying system also including an air purifying device configured to energize the condensate from the condensate trap to generate an aerosol including negative ions, which are combined the conditioned air provided by the HVAC system to the conditioned space.

A method includes operating equipment to affect a variable state or condition of a space and training weights of a neural network by outputting control dispatches from the neural network based on simulated inputs, simulating costs associated with operating the equipment in accordance with control dispatches, and adjusting the weights to reduce the costs. The method also includes generating a control dispatch for the equipment by applying an actual measurement relating to the space as an input to the neural network, and controlling the equipment in accordance with the control dispatch.

Occupancy sensing and building control using mobile devices

Apparatus, systems and methods for ascertaining the occupancy of a building are presented. The building is divided into one or more control zones which correspond to physical areas of the building associated with controllable modules, such as HVAC units, lighting, irrigation, or other environmental features such as fountains, music, video, and the like. Zone parameters define how zone devices shall react to the number of occupants located in the particular zone. A building control system detects individual mobile devices in and around the building, and determines the locations of each device by using trilateration and/or location services. The identified mobile devices act as proxies for building occupants. The locations of these devices are correlated with the locations of the zones in the building, and the building control system then adjusts the operating parameters of the zone based on the number of devices present in the zone.

Configuration of a visible light sensor

A visible light sensor may be configured to sense environmental characteristics of a space using an image of the space. The visible light sensor may be controlled in one or more modes, including a daylight glare sensor mode, a daylighting sensor mode, a color sensor mode, and/or an occupancy/vacancy sensor mode. In the daylight glare sensor mode, the visible light sensor may be configured to decrease or eliminate glare within a space. In the daylighting sensor mode and the color sensor mode, the visible light sensor may be configured to provide a preferred amount of light and color temperature, respectively, within the space. In the occupancy/vacancy sensor mode, the visible light sensor may be configured to detect an occupancy/vacancy condition within the space and adjust one or more control devices according to the occupation or vacancy of the space. The visible light sensor may be configured to protect the privacy of users within the space via software, a removable module, and/or a special sensor.

Systems and methods for adaptively tuning thresholds for fault detection in buildings

A building system including one or more memory devices configured to store instructions that, when executed on one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to determine an average of a minimum half of sorted energy consumption values for a first time period and determine an average of a maximum half of sorted energy consumption values for a second time period. The instructions also cause the processor to determine a ratio of the average of the minimum half of sorted energy consumption values for the first time period to the average of the maximum half of sorted energy consumption values for the second time period, compare the calculated ratio to an adaptively tunable threshold value and activate a system responsive to the calculated ratio exceeding the adaptively tunable threshold value.

Air purifier

An air purifier including a fan having a plurality of fan speeds; a filter, wherein the fan draws air through the filter; a user interface in communication with a control system; wherein upon activation of the control system, the control system identifies an initial air quality index (AQI) based upon a geographic location of the air purifier, a room size based upon the type of room in which the air purifier is placed, and identifies a fan speed set by a user through the user interface, and determines a target air quality index achievable in thirty minutes of fan operation is provided. Further provided is an air purifier capable of predicting and updating time to achieve a target air quality and a target air quality based on a number of environmental factors.

VENTILATION AND AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM

A ventilation and air-conditioning system includes a heat-exchange ventilation apparatus that includes a first inlet and a first outlet installed in a space to be ventilated, and discharges air in the space to be ventilated drawn in from the first inlet to the outdoors via a heat-exchange element, and blows air in the outdoors from the first outlet into the space to be ventilated via the heat-exchange element, and an air-conditioning apparatus that includes an indoor unit including a second inlet and a second outlet installed in the space to be ventilated, and draws in air in the space to be ventilated from the second inlet and blows the air from the second outlet into the space to be ventilated.
