Thermostat user interface

A user-friendly programmable thermostat is described that includes a body having a central electronic display surrounded by a ring that can be rotated and pressed inwardly to provide user input in a simple and elegant fashion. The current temperature and setpoint temperature are graphically displayed as prominent tick marks over a range of background tick marks on the electronic display. Different colors can be displayed to indicate currently active HVAC functions, and different intensities of colors can be displayed to indicate an amount of heating or cooling required to reach a target temperature. The setpoint temperature for the device can be altered by user rotation of the rotatable ring, and the programmed schedule can be displayed to the user and altered by the user by virtue of rotations and inward pressings of the ring. Initial device set up and installation, the viewing of device operation, the editing of various settings, and the viewing of historical energy usage information are made simple and elegant by virtue of the described form factor, display modalities, and user input modalities of the device.

Air treatment device and air conditioner indoor unit having the same

An air treatment device and an air conditioner indoor unit are provided. The air treatment device has an air outlet frame of a purification air duct. The air outlet frame has a ventilation hole and a cooperation hole. A water tank drawer is moveable on the air outlet frame and has two spaced-apart cooperation protrusions on a bottom wall thereof. A safety locking member of the air treatment device has a rotating shaft and a locking member. The rotating shaft is rotatable in the cooperation hole to switch the locking member between a locking position of the locking member and a movement-permitting position of the locking member. At the locking position, the locking member engages the cooperation protrusions to prevent the displacement of the cooperation protrusions. At the movement-permitting position, the locking member is located between the two cooperation protrusions to avoid engagement with the cooperation protrusions.

A novel small format touch screen user interface for displaying, adding and editing program setpoints is described. When editing a setpoint the user's input is constrained such that the user can only alter one parameter. As soon as the user begins to drag a setpoint icon in either a horizontal (e.g. adjusting time), or vertical (e.g. adjusting temperature), the other parameter is constrained. Additionally, the disclosed user interface includes displaying information as to how the setpoint was most recently added or adjusted. For example the display can be used to indicate whether a setpoint was added or adjusted on the control device itself; by an automated learning algorithm; by a user on a web client; by a user using a mobile device, and so forth. Further, the name of the particular device may be displayed.

Indication of motor shaft rotation and controller location

Embodiments are provided for a method for verifying operation of a variable air valve (VAV) equipment. Embodiments can include operating a motor having a motor shaft coupled to VAV equipment in one of a plurality of modes, and controlling a direction of rotation of the motor shaft coupled to the VAV equipment. Embodiments can also include providing an indication of the direction of rotation of the motor shaft coupled to the VAV equipment. Also provided are embodiments for a system that is used for verifying the operation of VAV equipment.

An air conditioner is provided that may include a case; a base panel that is disposed at a first side of the case and has an inlet into which air flows; an inlet grill that is rotatably disposed in the base panel based on a first rotational shaft, and disposed at a lower side of the inlet; and a first filter that is movably or rotatably disposed in the base panel based on a second rotational shaft, and removes foreign substances in the air flowing into the inlet. The second rotational shaft of the first filter may be movably disposed in a frontward-rearward direction at an upper side of the first rotational shaft of the inlet grill.

Fan assembly for an HVAC unit

The present disclosure relates to a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) unit that includes a condenser fan assembly. The condenser fan assembly includes a support frame having an opening and a condenser fan that is coupled to the support frame and configured to force air through the opening. The condenser fan assembly is configured to translate between an operating position and a service position. The HVAC unit also includes a brace that is configured to extend from an enclosure of the HVAC unit to the condenser fan assembly to hold the condenser fan assembly in the service position.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONFIGURING A VENTILATION SYSTEM

A method for configuring a ventilation system includes: obtaining location data for the ventilation system; obtaining a location-specific list of questions for the ventilation system; obtaining hardware configuration data of the ventilation system; mapping the hardware configuration data on questions from the location-specific list of questions to obtain a first subset of answers; obtaining a second subset of answers via a user interface; compiling a set of location-specific control settings; and configuring the ventilation system using the parameter values from the set of location-specific control settings.

AIR TREATMENT APPARATUS AND AIR CONDITIONER

An air treatment apparatus and an air conditioner are provided. The air treatment apparatus has a housing and one or more air treatment devices. An airflow passage is formed in the housing. A mounting cavity is formed in the airflow passage. A side of the mounting cavity has a mounting opening. Multiple mounting portions are disposed in the mounting cavity. Two opposite sides of each of the mounting portions have a first sliding surface and a second sliding surface, respectively. At least one of the air treatment devices is drawably mounted on the mounting portions through the mounting opening and in slidable fit with the first sliding surface and the second sliding surface.
