A water heater includes a first heater, a second heater, and a controller. The controller can enable different operational modes of the water heater, wherein only the first heater operates, only the second heater operates, or both the first and the second heaters operate. The controller can also be configured to enable a hybrid operational mode and a bypass operational mode. Further, in the different operational modes, the controller can direct water flow to at least one of a first conduit coupled to the first heater, a second conduit coupled to the second heater, and a bypass conduit. The controller can be configured to receive input signals relating to environmental conditions around the water heater and/or an aquatic system in which the water heater is installed.

Heating device

The application relates to an induction heating device having a housing and a fluid duct. The fluid duct is arranged in the housing and has a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. Inside the housing is an induction element which generates an alternating magnetic field and which is separated from the fluid duct in a sealed manner by at least one wall. The device also includes at least one metallic areal heating element arranged in the fluid duct which can be heated by the alternating magnetic field.

Tunable nucleate boiling using electric fields and ionic surfactants

A tunable boiling system includes a fluid having a solvent and an ionic surfactant in the solvent, a counter electrode disposed within the fluid, and a working electrode having a surface in contact with the fluid. The system is configured to apply a voltage between the surface and the counter electrode in order to affect bubble formation in the fluid at the surface. Methods of making and using the system are also provided.

Solar powered water heating assembly

A solar powered water heating assembly for supplying hot water from an exterior faucet or pipe includes a heating unit and a solar panel. The heating unit is integral to, or can be engaged to, a pipe that is in fluidic communication with water piping of a structure. The pipe extends externally from the structure. The heating unit is positioned to heat water flowing through the pipe. The solar panel converts electromagnetic radiation into an electrical current. The solar panel is operationally engaged to the heating unit and thus is positioned to power the heating unit to heat the water flowing through the pipe.

Tankless water heater connector

Disclosed herein are connectors for a tankless water heater. The connectors can comprise a flange, an aperture extending through the flange having a first diameter, one or more slots extending through the flange, a connector portion substantially surrounding the aperture and extending outward from the flange away from the tankless water heater. The aperture can correspond to an air inlet extending into the tankless water heater, and the air inlet can have a second diameter that is larger than the aperture. To keep the flange in place, the one or more slots can correspond to one or more fastening holes in the tankless water heater. The one or more slots can be substantially parallel and on opposite sides of the aperture. The connector can be in a secured state when the one or more slots are fastened to the one or more fastening holes.

Heating hydraulic interface for a motor-vehicle windscreen washer liquid supply and/or distribution system

A hydraulic interface configured to be installed between a windscreen washer liquid feed tube and a connector of a device for wiping a window of a motor vehicle is disclosed. The interface includes a body that defines at least one passage channel for the windscreen washer liquid, and at least one electric heating conductor that is disposed so as to heat said windscreen washer liquid, said body being configured to secure said conductor to said body by fitting together different parts of said body and/or by fitting to shapes made in one piece with said body.

HIGH VOLTAGE HEATER WITH WELDED TUBES

A high-voltage heater for a motor vehicle for heating a coolant is disclosed. The high-voltage heater includes at least two flat tubes that are flowable through by the coolant and at least one heating element. The at leas two flat tubes and the at least one heating element are alternatingly stacked on top of one another in a stacking direction to form a stack. The at least one heating element is connected at least to one of the adjacent flat tubes in the stack in a heat-transferring manner.

WATER HEATER AND A METHOD OF HEATING WATER UTILIZING MICROWAVE ENERGY
20230184459 · 2023-06-15 ·

A water heater and a method of heating water utilizing microwave energy are disclosed. The water heater includes an inlet pipe connecting tubular coils. The tubular coils overlap over one another in a pyramid-shape structure. The tubular coils include a microwave generator positioned adjacent to them. The water heater includes an insulation member that positions around the tubular coils. The tubular coils connect to an outlet pipe including a pressure relief valve and a switch. The inlet pipe supplies cold water to the tubular coils. The microwave generator produces microwave energy directed at the tubular coils. The microwave energy penetrates into the tubular coils and heats up the water. The insulation member reflects back the microwave energy into the tubular coils and ensures there is no loss of energy. The hot water flows through the outlet pipe.

Heater with telescoping tower

The present invention provides a large-scale water heater with a telescoping tower having a tower with a storage area proximal to the bottom of the tower; a portion of the tower that telescopes vertically that is pre-filled with a packing media; a nozzle designed to distribute a fluid that is located above the packing media; a firing chamber with a proximal end in fluid communication with the tower; and a burner in fluid communication with the distal end of the firing chamber for combusting fuels.
