GOLF BALL
To provide a golf ball that can prevent a decrease in carry distance of a driver shot when it rains and also, can exert excellent spinning performance upon an approach shot. The golf ball of the present invention includes a core, a cover that is provided on an outer side of the core and is provided with dimples, and an outermost layer that is formed on an outer side of the cover and made of a material having a contact angle of 90 or more. The golf ball has a dynamic friction coefficient of 0.52 or more. The material constituting the outermost layer comprises a urethane coating that contains a water repellent additive, and the water repellent additive includes a fluorinated surfactant, silicone-modified acrylate or hydrophobic silica. The urethane coating comprises a polyisocyanate as a curing agent, and the polyisocyanate includes both an adduct form and an isocyanurate form of hexamethylene diisocyanate, and a mixing ratio (isocyanurate form/adduct form) of the isocyanurate and adduct forms of the hexamethylene diisocyanate, expressed as a mass ratio, is from 95/5 to 40/60.
Golf ball with electrical components
A golf ball comprising an electrical component is disclosed herein. The electrical component comprises an integrated circuit having a gyroscope, a magnetometer, and a BLUETOOTH low energy (BTLE) radio, and at least one battery. A body is composed of an epoxy material, and the body encompasses the electrical component.
Multi-piece solid golf ball
In a multi-piece solid golf ball having a core, an envelope layer, an intermediate layer and a cover, the envelope layer is formed into two layersan inner envelope layer and an outer envelope layer. The inner envelope layer-encased sphere, outer envelope layer-encased sphere, intermediate layer-encased sphere and ball have respective surface hardnesses that satisfy a specific relationship. The inner envelope layer or outer envelope layer is formed primarily of one or more thermoplastic elastomer selected from the group consisting of polyester elastomers, polyamide elastomers, polyurethane elastomers, olefin elastomers and styrene elastomers. This ball has an excellent flight when struck by golfers whose head speeds are not that fast and has a good, soft feel at impact, thus making it highly suitable for amateur golfers.
Multi-piece solid golf ball
In a golf ball having a core, an intermediate layer and a cover, the intermediate layer-encased sphere has a higher surface hardness than the ball. The core hardness profile in the ball is designed such that the core surface has a Shore C hardness value which is at least 27 higher than the Shore C hardness value at the core center, and the surface areas A to F calculated from hardness differences between positions located at specific distances in the core and differences between the specific distances satisfy a specific formula. This golf ball has an excellent flight performance when struck by skilled amateur golfers and professionals, and also has a good controllability on shots with an iron.
Golf Ball Putting Alignment System and Method
A golf ball aligning device comprises a shaft having a first and a second end, a handle mounted to the first end and a head member mounted to the second end. The head member further comprises a ball opening extending through the height of the head member having a chamfered or rounded bottom edge to engage a golf ball. An alignment grid on the top face of the head member comprises a crosshair pattern centered with the ball opening. A golf ball engaged with the bottom edge may be manipulated and oriented relative to the alignment grid for setting the trajectory of a shot.
Method for printing an image at multiple locations on a golf ball
A method and system for printing an image at multiple locations on a golf ball is disclosed herein. The printing station comprises a plurality of stamping stations, each of the plurality of stamping stations comprising a pad carousel comprising a plurality of pads, a plurality of curing stations, and a plurality of reorienting stations.
GOLF BALL WITH INDICIA
A golf ball alignment device includes a golf ball having an exterior surface. Indicia is disposed on the exterior surface of the golf ball. The indicia include first and second line segments extending along a portion of the golf ball at a spaced interval. The spaced interval is narrower at a first end of each line segment than at a second end of each line segment such that the line segments converge from the second end of the line segments to the first end of the line segments. The indicia provide an alignment reference on the golf ball for a user to align the line segments with at least one of an intended direction of travel of the golf ball and a club head used to strike the ball in the intended direction of travel.
Dimple patterns for golf balls
The present invention provides a golf ball wherein each hemisphere has a dimple pattern based on a pyramid having dissimilar sides. The resulting overall dimple pattern is not based on preexisting polyhedral, and is not attainable using conventional dimple packing methods.
GOLF BALL
A golf ball including an outer surface having dimples located on the outer surface, at least one core, at least one mantle layer, at least one cover layer, and a plurality of images located on the outer surface, the images being provided with at least two contrasting colors, wherein the plurality of images each have a Major Peak Ratio of between 0.18 and 1, a Major Valley Ratio of between 0.18 and 1, a slope value of between 5 and 5, and an intercept value between 5 and 80.
