METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING PLASTIC BAGS
20170355163 · 2017-12-14 · ·

A gusset preheating assembly and a method of using the same. The assembly includes a heating gun assembly mounted on a frame. Spreader rods open up a gap in a bag's gusset and nozzles blow warmed air into the gap. Orthogonally arranged first and second hydraulic members are operatively engaged with heating gun assembly and are activated to move the heating gun assembly vertically or horizontally. Hot air blowing into the gap from the nozzle relaxes the gusset. Pressure is applied to the relaxed gusset, thereby reducing the thickness of the gusset region of the bag. The reduction in thickness makes it possible to increase the number of gusseted bags that are packaged in a container or on a roll.

Energy recovery ventilator unit with offset and overlapping enthalpy wheels

An energy recovery ventilator cabinet containing a plurality of enthalpy wheels. The enthalpy wheels are substantially perpendicular to a stream of forced air, allowing the air to pass through the wheels. The enthalpy wheels are also disposed such that portions overlap, allowing multiple enthalpy wheels to be disposed in a smaller space than if the enthalpy wheels were placed side by side. This arrangement has led to energy recovery effectiveness similar to that obtained by a larger, single enthalpy wheel, but has the advantage of using less space.

INDUSTRIAL HEATING APPARATUS AND METHOD EMPLOYING FERMION AND BOSON MUTUAL CASCADE MULTIPLIER FOR BENEFICIAL MATERIAL PROCESSING KINETICS
20170347440 · 2017-11-30 · ·

Presented is a simple, but highly energy efficient industrial heating device and method for rapid heating and high temperature gradient production whereby fermions and bosons are introduced into an adjoining fluid which may be boundary layered and consequently produce an amplifiable activated condition even at room pressure and high temperature. This heating device uses a comparatively long current carrying member which may have some curvature with penetration of the current carrying members into spaces that could have any cross-sectional geometry in a high temperature resistant stable material.

Air handling unit and method of operating the same

An air handling unit, particularly for data center cooling, operates to cool a flow of return air from a conditioned space using a flow of ambient air. The return air is recirculated to the conditioned space as supply air. The flow of ambient air can be adiabatically cooled to a lower temperature to provide additional cooling. A flow of makeup air can be joined with the cooled return air to form the supply air, and can be sourced from the ambient environment directly or from the heated flow of ambient air.

Heater with Internal Temperature Sensors

A heater for heating air includes an inlet, an outlet, and an air duct between the inlet and the outlet. A fan and a heating element are positioned in the air duct. A first temperature sensor is positioned at or near the inlet and configured to measure a first temperature of ambient air at the inlet. A second temperature sensor in positioned in the air duct and configured to measure a second temperature of heated air flowing through the air duct. The heater is configured to control heating power and fan speed based on measurements taken by the first and second temperature sensors.

Blower assembly for use in an air handling system and method for assembling the same

A blower assembly includes a housing including an inner shell and an outer shell that define a flow passage therebetween. The inner shell also at least partially defines a cavity. The blower assembly also includes a fan coupled within the housing such that the fan also at least partially defines the cavity. The blower assembly further includes a motor configured to rotate about an axis. The motor is coupled to the inner shell and is positioned within the cavity radially inward of the flow passage.
