GOLF BALLS HAVING AT LEAST ONE RADAR DETECTABLE MARK
Golf balls including one or more layers having at least one radar detectable mark disposed on the surface thereof are provided.
GOLF BALLS HAVING AT LEAST ONE RADAR DETECTABLE MARK
Golf balls including one or more layers having at least one radar detectable mark disposed on the surface thereof are provided.
GOLF BALL HAVING AT LEAST ONE RADAR DETECTABLE MARK
A golf ball is disclosed herein that includes at least one radar detectable mark such that a projected pattern is formed when the at least one radar detectable mark is radially projected onto an outer surface of the golf ball. The projected pattern can have a first wave profile mapped along a path defined by a first spherical arc on the outer surface of the golf ball. The projected pattern can comprise at least one first crest and at least one first trough. The projected pattern can have a periodic function selected from: a sine wave, a sawtooth wave, a triangle wave, or a square wave.
Rubber composition for golf ball, and golf ball
A rubber composition for golf balls includes (a) a base rubber, (b) a co-crosslinking agent which is an α,β-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a metal salt thereof, (c) a crosslinking initiator, and (d) an alcohol having a value obtained by dividing the molecular weight of the alcohol by the number of hydroxyl groups thereon which is 70 or less. When the rubber composition is used in a golf ball having a core and a cover of one or more layers encasing the core, by setting the hardness difference in the core interior hardness profile to a large value while maintaining a desired core hardness, low spin properties can be manifested on golf ball shots, enabling the flight performance of the ball to be improved.
GOLF BALL HAVING A RADAR DETECTABLE MARK
Golf balls including one or more layers having at least one radar detectable mark disposed on the surface thereof are provided.
Golf ball
A golf ball including at least a layer of ball shell, at least a layer of ball core, and an antenna layer is provided. The ball core is provided in the ball shell. The antenna layer is inserted between the ball shell and the ball core or provided on an outer side of the ball shell. A material of the antenna layer includes a conductive material having fluidity or ductility that auto-recovers the shape and does not break after a hit.
Golf balls incorporating thermoplastic blend(s) of ionomer(s), thermoplastic polymer(s), and polymethyl methacrylate-based polymer(s)
Golf ball incorporating thermoplastic blend of (i) ionomer(s); (ii) different thermoplastic polymer(s) selected from thermoplastic polyurethane(s), thermoplastic urea(s), thermoplastic urea-urethane hybrid(s), or combinations thereof; and (iii) polymethyl (meth)acrylate-based copolymer(s) and/or core-shell polymer(s) having a core and/or a shell containing polymethyl (meth)acrylate-based copolymer(s). Ionomer(s) are present in thermoplastic blend in amount of about 45 wt % or greater. Different thermoplastic polymer present in blend in amount of: from about 8 wt % to about 50 wt %; or greater than 20 wt %, or from about 25 wt % to about 45 wt %; or from about 35 wt % to about 50 wt %. In a particular embodiment, amount of ionomer(s) is greater than thermoplastic polyurethane amount. Component (iii) may be present in an amount of about 2 wt % to about 35 wt %, and in a specific embodiments, polymethyl (meth)acrylate-based copolymer(s) and/or core-shell polymer(s) included in blend in amount of from about 15 wt % to about 35 wt %.
RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR GOLF BALL, AND GOLF BALL
A rubber composition for golf balls includes (a) a base rubber, (b) a co-crosslinking agent which is an ,-unsaturated carboxylic acid and/or a metal salt thereof, (c) a crosslinking initiator, and (d) an alcohol having a value obtained by dividing the molecular weight of the alcohol by the number of hydroxyl groups thereon which is 70 or less.
Golf balls having foam inner core and thermoset outer core layer
Multi-piece golf balls containing a dual-core structure are provided. The core structure includes an inner core (center) comprising a foam composition, preferably foamed polyurethane. The outer core layer is preferably formed from a non-foamed thermoset composition such as polybutadiene rubber. The inner and outer core layers can have different hardness gradients. Preferably, the specific gravity (density) of the foam inner core is less than the density of the outer core layer. The ball further includes a cover of at least one layer and may include at least one casing layer. The core structure and resulting ball have relatively good resiliency.
Minimal surface golf ball components
The present invention provides a novel golf ball construction including a layer having a design based on a minimal surface. The layer is defined by an envelope shape having an outer boundary and an inner boundary, and consists of a minimal surface and an interstitial space, the minimal surface and interstitial space being bounded by the envelope shape. The minimal surface is a single continuous surface which does not intersect itself and has zero mean curvature.
