SOLAR PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SOLAR POWER GENERATION DEVICE
A photovoltaic panel includes: a plurality of power generation portions each having a light receiving surface, each power generation portion including a plurality of power generating elements each configured to generate power in accordance with an amount of received light; and a coupling portion configured to couple each power generation portion, wherein each power generation portion is coupled so as to be rotatable about the coupling portion used as a rotation axis, and the power generation portions are capable of, by being rotated, taking a light receiving position at which the power generation portions are located such that the light receiving surfaces of the power generation portions are oriented to an identical direction, and a fold position at which the power generation portions are located such that a set of the light receiving surfaces of the power generation portions face each other.
Solar panel charging inhibitor
A solar panel assembly includes a solar panel having a frame and a solar harvesting surface held by the frame; and a shield assembly having a solar shield movable between an operating position and a shielding position and a heat sensitive element. The solar shield is configured to automatically assume the shielding position after the heat sensitive element reaches and/or exceeds an activation temperature.
Tracking modules including tip/tilt adjustability and construction features
Tracking modules are effectively provided that can be arranged as systems for positioning devices, such as reflectors. A preferred reflector is small and light in comparison to prior art reflectors so that components can be utilized within reflector construction and support structure that are sufficiently stiff to accurately hold a reflector in place under expected operational drive-torque, gravity and wind loads. At the same time, a single person can install a reflector, easily overcoming a retention mechanism spring force so as to positively engage a reflector in position. This is achieved without the need for any tools, through a combination of a retention mechanism and a spring feature design. Arrangements of tracking modules are included for easier manufacture, transport of systems and installment.
HORIZONTAL BALANCED SOLAR TRACKER
In an example, the present invention provides a solar tracker apparatus. In an example, the apparatus comprises a center of mass with an adjustable hanger assembly configured with a clam shell clamp assembly on the adjustable hanger assembly and a cylindrical torque tube comprising a plurality of torque tubes configured together in a continuous length from a first end to a second end such that the center of mass is aligned with a center of rotation of the cylindrical torque tubes to reduce a load of a drive motor operably coupled to the cylindrical torque tube. Further details of the present example, among others, can be found throughout the present specification and more particularly below.

Dynamic stabilizer for solar trackers
A non-drive dynamic stabilizer includes a damper and an actuator. The dynamic stabilizer provides multiple states of support to a solar tracker structure. These states may include 1) flexible movement and/or damping during normal operation (i.e. tracking) and/or 2) rigid or locked, whereby the dynamic stabilizer acts as a restraint. The dynamic stabilizer is actuated by a control system according to the real-time demands on the structure. Sensors to provide input to the control system may include wind speed sensors, wind direction sensors, snow sensors, vibration sensors and/or displacement sensors.
APPARATUSES AND ASSEMBLIES FOR A SOLAR PANEL INSTALLATION
A bearing assembly comprises a bearing wheel with a rotational axis, the bearing wheel including and extending radially between an inner surface and an outer surface, wherein the inner surface at least partially forms a bore, the bore extends axially through the bearing wheel along the rotational axis, and the bore has a cross-sectional geometry configured to receive a rotatable shaft with a complementary cross-sectional geometry, and wherein the outer surface extends circumferentially around the rotational axis, and the outer surface has a circular cross-sectional geometry. The bearing assembly also comprises a bearing collar comprising a collar base and a collar mount, wherein the collar base includes an inner surface configured to circumscribe and slidingly engage the outer surface of the bearing wheel, wherein the collar mount projects radially out from collar base to a distal mount end, and wherein a plurality of mounting apertures at the distal mount end extend axially through the collar mount, and the mounting apertures are configured to respectively receive fasteners for securing the collar mount to a stationary structural member.
SOLAR PANEL MOUNTING SYSTEM WITH ADJUSTMENT FEATURES
A mounting system for solar panels that is adjustable to allow for ease of installation. An adjustable leg or strut includes a telescoping portion that is connected to a base by a compound ball joint. At an upper end, an angularly adjustable bracket allows for connection to a rail for supporting the solar panel. In a typical installation, two series of adjustable legs are used to support two rails at differing heights to support a panel in a desired position. The adjustable nature of the components allows for a faster installation compared to known solar panel mounting systems.
PILE CAP WITH INTEGRATED BEARING HOUSING
This disclosure relates to the design of pile cap assemblies configured to rotatably couple the torque tube of a photovoltaic solar tracker to multiple support piles that elevate the torque tube above the ground. The pile cap assemblies define low friction bearings that allow the torque tube to rotate smoothly within the low friction bearings. The pile cap assemblies also include numerous mounting hole configurations that allow for adjustment of a position of the pile cap assemblies with respect to the support piles. This allows for any small variation in positioning of the support piles to be accommodated.
Solar power system and solar panel installation method
[Problem] To provide a solar power system and a solar panel installation method with which, by using a positioning configuration which is not prone to visible vertical misalignment while preserving sunlight lighting efficiency in the positioning of a plurality of solar panels, solar panel installation is easy, and which is suitable to installing a large solar power system on a hill, in wetlands, etc. [Solution] A solar power system comprises a solar panel group (2) in which a plurality of vertically oriented rectangular solar panels (21) are inclined in the same direction, either left or right, at a prescribed angle of inclination (theta), and the lighting faces (22) of each of the solar panels (21) are arrayed in the same plane.
