A building rooftop mounting structure including a sacrificial material that allows freedom of movement between itself and the rooftop as well as between itself and the mounting structure.

MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR MOUNTING A PHOTOVOLTAIC PANEL

A mounting system for mounting a photovoltaic panel to a surface includes a mounting base that is supported on the surface. The mounting base defines an elongated opening that extends along an axis. A module mount can be coupled to the mounting base. The module mount includes a first mount portion that is received within the elongated opening of the mounting base such that the module mount is movable with respect to the mounting base along the axis. A second mount portion is coupled to the photovoltaic panel for mounting the photovoltaic panel to the surface through the mounting base.

FLOATING SOLAR POWER PLANT

A floating solar power plant (1) comprising a floating carrier module (3), wherein the floating carrier module (3) comprises photovoltaic modules (5) for electric power generation and a floating structure (50) provided with one or more buoyancy elements (9) extending into the water. The floating structure (50) further comprises a flexible means (53, 57, 57a, 57b) providing a change of shape of the floating structure when exposed to external forces, as the floating structure (50) comprises a plurality of interlinked rigid elements (51), wherein the rigid elements (51) are linked together with flexible means comprising flexible joints (53) to form a chain that encloses a center area (55). A method is also disclosed.

Pivotable support structure for cross canal solar array

A cross canal support structure for photovoltaic cells is disclosed. The structure includes a major frame having disconnectable and hinged connections to anchors at its corners, on either side of the canal. The major frame carries a plurality of minor frames, which are inclinable at an angle with respect to the major frame with the use of fixed or adjustable mounting plates. The combination of the major frame's tilt and the minor frame tilt enables fabrication of support structures that hold panels at latitude inclination for various portions of a canal.

PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR INSTALLATION HAVING BIFACIAL PANELS

At least one solar tracker has a rotating structure, which supports bifacial photovoltaic solar panels, in order to provide the panels with a solar tracking rotation around, at least, a non-azimuth axis of rotation; and a control unit which commands the tracker; and an albedo reflector arranged on the ground on one side or on both sides of the solar tracker with respect to the non-azimuth axis of rotation, next to the tracker itself, wherein the albedo reflector in turn comprises a reflective membrane which reflects albedo radiation towards the panels. Albedo radiation is optimally harnessed.

Photovoltaic panel cable mount arrangement

A mount system for a supporting a plurality of photovoltaic panels includes a plurality of stanchions. Each stanchion is spaced apart from other stanchions in a linear stanchion array having first and second ends. Each stanchion includes a vertical member and a transverse member supported by the vertical member. The transverse member has a plurality of support points. The system includes a plurality of anchor arrangements. A first anchor arrangement is located proximate the first end and a second anchor arrangement is located proximate the second end. The system includes a plurality of cables. Each cable is under tension and extends between the first and second anchor arrangements. Each cables extends to engage and is supported by a support point on a transverse member. The system includes a plurality of photovoltaic panel attachments. Each photovoltaic panel attachment is secured to a point on a photovoltaic panel and to a cable.
