The mounting apparatus includes a strap assembly that includes (1) a first strap portion having a proximal end coupled to the first end of the rail member and a distal end operatively coupled to the wall structure remote from the roof and (2) a second strap portion having a proximal end coupled to the second end of the rail member and a distal end operatively coupled to one of a ridgeline of the roof or another wall structure remote from the roof

Apparatus, System, and Method for Vertical Solar Panels

Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for vertical solar panels. Prefabricated and/or preassembled solar panels may be deployed fast, for example, by using a special packaging. Support structures may be easily installed to support (e.g., hang) the solar panels. The solar panels may be pretensioned and/or comprise structural designs (e.g., holes, frames, flexibility, etc.) to have reliability and/or longevity under a hanging condition and wind impact. The heights of vertically-installed solar panels may be dynamically adjusted, for example, based on inputs from sensors and/or time of day. Inter-row shading may be changed based on height adjustment among multiple rows of vertical solar panels.

Solar heat collecting apparatus and solar heat collecting method

Solar heat collecting apparatus, wherein plural reflecting mirrors are disposed in north-south direction; the plural reflecting mirrors are provided with heliostat mechanism; the heliostat mechanism includes an east-west angle adjustment unit, having a rotating ring, to adjust the angle of reflecting surface of the plural reflecting mirrors in the east-west direction, and a north-south angle adjustment unit, having actuators, to adjust angle of reflecting surface of the plural reflecting mirrors in the north-south direction; the angle of reflecting surface of the plural reflecting mirrors on each reflection line is simultaneously adjusted via the frame by rotation of the rotating ring; the angle of reflecting surface of each reflecting mirror is individually adjusted by a back-and-forth motion of an arm of the corresponding actuator; and, each reception line is provided with a receiver, and the receiver collects heat from the reflected light of the sunlight reflected by the plural reflecting mirrors.

Solar collector cable support tray and support system

A cable tray and support system facilitates cable management in a solar energy collector system at reduced cost relative to previous cable tray and support systems. The cable tray and support system comprises cables trays, mounting brackets, and vertically-oriented piles. The mounting brackets are coupled to the cables trays and vertically-oriented piles. The mounting brackets include one or more stress relief features (e.g., notches) to allow the mounting bracket to provide cantilevered deflection in response to thermal expansion or contraction-of the cable tray. The cable tray and support system also provides a ground path from a cable tray, to the mounting bracket, to the pile, and then to the ground to dissipate transient voltages in the solar energy collection system.
