The ground mount system for photovoltaic panels includes at least two vertical supports, wherein attached to each vertical support are a T plate connected to a vertical support, a post frame connected to the T plate, and a kicker brace connected between the vertical support and the post frame. The ground mount system may further include a first C-Purlin connected to a first end of the post frame, to a second C-Purlin connected to a second end of the post frame, a purlin tie connected between the first C-Purlin and the second C-Purlin. Panel clamps secure a photovoltaic panel assembly to the mounting system.

Method and apparatus for forming and mounting a photovoltaic array

A photovoltaic (PV) module framing and coupling system enables the attachment of PV modules to a roof or other mounting surface without requiring the use of separate structural support members which attach directly to and span between multiple PV modules in a formed PV array. The apparatus provides a parallel coupling for securely interlocking the outside surfaces of parallel frame members together in a side to side arrangement to form an array with improved structural load distribution. The coupling may attach to a slot in the frame at substantially any position along the length of the frame thereby enabling the interconnection of adjacent PV modules along both an x and y axis. The apparatus may further provide a rotating portion and locking portion, mounting brackets for direct connection to a mounting surface, grounding teeth, and a twist-lock engagement means for interlocking and aligning PV modules in the array.

Solar central receiver system employing common positioning mechanism for heliostats
09568215 · 2017-02-14 ·

A solar central receiver system employing common positioning mechanism for heliostats relates to a system of concentrating and harvesting solar energy. The heliostats of said system are positioned like facets of a Fresnel type of reflector. The heliostats are placed in arrays, wherein each array has a common positioning mechanism. The common positioning mechanism synchronously maneuvers the arrays of heliostats in altitudinal and/or azimuthal axis for tracking an apparent movement of the sun. The common positioning mechanism is employed for synchronously orienting said heliostats with respect to a stationary object and the sun such that incident solar radiation upon said heliostats is focused upon said stationary object from dawn to dusk. Subsequent to each said orientation of said heliostats, collective disposition of said heliostats always forms an arrangement that is capable of reflecting and thereby focusing incident solar radiation upon said stationary object.

A POLE MOUNTABLE SOLAR TRACKING DEVICE
20170025989 · 2017-01-26 ·

A pole mounted dual axis solar tracking apparatus has a main mounting member [13] in a fixed primary north-south axis which is inclined to accommodate geographical latitude and a cross arm [16] fixed to the main mounting member and defining a secondary east-west axis. A support frame [15] for PV panels, solar reflectors etc. is pivoted to the cross arm to enable the support frame to tilt over the secondary east-west axis. The apparatus is highly efficient due to its ability to sweep through the shape of two conjoined cones. The apparatus operates with close to the efficiency of a dual axis tracker but with the simplicity of a single axis tracker.
