SOLAR PANEL ARRANGEMENT
Disclosed is a solar panel arrangement. The solar panel arrangement comprises a plurality of solar panels operable to be stacked vertically. Each solar panel of the plurality of solar panels is vertically spaced apart from each adjacent solar panel by a predetermined distance. The predetermined distance is based on a solar elevation angle to be incident on the plurality of solar panels and lengths of each solar panel of the plurality of solar panels. The solar panel arrangement further comprises a coupling mechanism operable to support the plurality of solar panels in a vertically stacked position.
OPTOMECHANICAL SYSTEM FOR CAPTURING AND TRANSMITTING INCIDENT LIGHT WITH A VARIABLE DIRECTION OF INCIDENCE TO AT LEAST ONE COLLECTING ELEMENT AND CORRESPONDING METHOD
Disclosed is an optomechanical system (10) for capturing and transmitting incident light (40) with a variable direction of incidence to at least one collecting element (31, 31, 31, 31, 31A, 31B), with an optical arrangement (20) able to capture a beam of the incident light (40), concentrate the captured beam of the incident light, and transmit one or more concentrated beams (50) of the incident light to the at least one collecting element (31, 31, 31, 31, 31A, 31B), and a shifting mechanism for moving the optical arrangement (20) with respect to the at least one collecting element (31, 31, 31, 31, 31A, 31B), wherein the moving of the shifting mechanism is controllable in such a way that, for any direction of incidence of the incident light (40), the one or more concentrated beams (50) of the incident light can be optimally collected by the at least one collecting element (31, 31, 31, 31, 31A, 31B),
In this optomechanical system (10), the optical arrangement (20) comprises a first optical layer made of optical lenses having an aspheric curvature, and at least one surface of the lenses has a polynomial curvature with multiple orders.
Furthermore, the present invention also relates to a corresponding method for capturing and transmitting incident light with a variable direction of incidence to at least one collecting element.
Sunlight collection system with asymmetric catadioptric optics
The system captures and concentrates sunlight for transmission to interior spaces or to a PV system. A solar collector uses arrayed refractive lenses, opposing concave focusing mirrors, and a movable coupling sheet forming part of a lightguide. The lenses and mirrors have an asymmetric shape, such as having aspect ratios of 3:4 or 1:2, so as to have an asymmetric aperture to better receive light at the different ranges of angles of the sun's rays over the course of a year. The long axis of the apertures is generally oriented in an East-West. The movable sheet contains small angled mirrors, and the sheet is translated to position the angled mirrors at the focal points of the sunlight for maximum deflection of the sunlight to an output of the collection system. A position sensor provides feedback regarding the position of the angled mirrors relative to the focal points.

Solar Oven Positioning
A positioning system attached to an outside of a building structure positions a radiation collection device such as a solar oven. The positioning system allows the collection device to be positioned in a plurality of locations where at least one of the plurality of locations is away from the building structure to allow the radiation collection device to collect solar radiation.

MOBILE POWER GENERATION/WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM
A mobile power generation/water purification system includes, in a housing thereof: a photovoltaic power generation device; a battery that stores electricity generated by the photovoltaic power generation device; a control unit that receives electric power from the battery; and a drive means controlled by the control unit and using the battery as an electric power source. A water purification device is disposed inside the housing in a single flow path connectable to a suction hose and an outflow hose. The drive means of the water purification device is a plurality of drive pumps which are electrically connected to the battery by respective conductive cables. The photovoltaic power generation device is a solar panel wound around a rotation shaft inside the housing. The solar panel can be pulled out directly in a horizontal direction from a horizontally elongated cutout window of the housing.
