REFRIGERATION SYSTEM FOR CHILLED STORAGE CONTAINER
A dual-phase refrigeration system for chilled storage containers (CSC) aboard boats maintains cold temperatures in the CSC by chilling the airspace in the upper portion of the CSC. A cooling liquid is circulated through coils installed on an interior sidewall about an upper margin of the CSC. The cooling liquid chills the air in the upper portion of the CSC which creates a thermodynamic airflow within the CSC which aids in cooling. The temperature of the cooling liquid is maintained by a heat exchange with a Non-Ozone Depleting Hydrofluorocarbon (NODHFC) refrigerant which, in turn, is cooled by a heat exchange with circulating water sourced from the body of water supporting the boat. If ice is added to the CSC, the cooling liquid in the coils reduces the air temperature.
LOW CHARGE PACKAGED AMMONIA REFRIGERATION SYSTEM WITH EVAPORATIVE CONDENSER
A packaged, pumped liquid, evaporative-condensing recirculating ammonia refrigeration system with charges of 10 lbs or less of refrigerant per ton of refrigeration capacity. The compressor and related components are situated inside the plenum of a standard evaporative condenser unit, and the evaporator is close coupled to the evaporative condenser. Single or dual phase cyclonic separators may also be housed in the plenum of the evaporative condenser.
COMPACT HEAT EXCHANGER UNIT FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLE PARTICULARLY AND AIR CONDITIONING MODULE
A compact heat exchanger unit within an air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle, and a condenser region for the condensation of refrigerant is formed as a heat exchanging surface, and a high-pressure-refrigerant collector region as a refrigerant collector is formed in the integrated form as a plate packet of a heat exchanger within a plate heat exchanger.
COOLING DEVICE AND COLD HEAD REPLACEMENT METHOD
A refrigerator port includes a sleeve and a pedestal. A pipe is drawn out from the refrigerator port. The pipe is provided with a valve. Before a cold head is pulled out, helium gas in a tank is supplied to a port space via the pipe. Accordingly, a pressure in the port space becomes the atmospheric pressure or approaches the atmospheric pressure. A pressure adjustment facility can also function when residual gas is discharged from the port space. Thus, the load of an operation of pulling out the cold head from the refrigerator port is reduced.
