System and method for thermochemical storage of energy
A heat exchanger system is described for thermochemical storage and release. The system comprises a thermal exchange circuit with a heat exchanger fluid, the circuit further in thermal connection with a thermochemical module. The thermochemical module comprises a thermochemical material that stores and releases heat by a thermochemical exchange process under release or binding of a sorbate. The thermochemical module comprises a compartment structure that compartments the thermochemical material and further comprises a channel structure. This provides an exchange of the sorbate and the thermochemical material via the channel structure to the compartment structure.

Refrigerator
A refrigerator includes a main body that has a storage chamber and a drying chamber; a thermoelectric module that includes a heat absorber and a heat dissipater; a cooling fan that circulates air in the storage chamber to the heat absorber and the storage chamber; a heat-dissipating fan that blows air to the heat dissipater; an air guide that has a passage for guiding air heated by the heat dissipater to the drying chamber; a heater that is disposed in the passage; and a damper that controls a flow of air in the passage between the heat-dissipating fan and the heater. Heat of the heat dissipater transfers to the drying chamber through the passage of the air guide and the damper, thereby being able to dry an object to be dried.
Exhaust gas flow control system for a metal hydride air conditioning unit
An exhaust gas flow control system disclosed relates to the field of mechanical engineering. The system reduces exhaust gas back pressure exerted on an internal combustion engine and prevents excessive heat loss in a radiator. The system comprises a flow regulator connected to an outlet of a silencer and configured to selectively direct the flow of exhaust gases to a metal hydride heat pump and/or a tailpipe. The flow of exhaust gases is directed towards the metal hydride heat pump in case of increased cooling requirement in the vehicle, and to the tailpipe in case of no cooling requirement or maintenance of the metal hydride heat pump. In case of reduced cooling requirement, partial flow of exhaust gases is directed to the metal hydride heat pump and the remaining to the tailpipe. A diverter is configured within the flow regulator to selectively direct the flow of exhaust gases.
System for improved hydrogen distribution in a metal hydride reactor
A system for distribution of hydrogen gas in a metal hydride reactor is disclosed. The system comprises a hydrogen distribution conduit positioned within a metal tube so as to define an annular space between the hydrogen distribution conduit and the outer metal tube. The hydrogen distribution conduit provides a flow passage for the hydrogen gas. A metal sponge matrix containing hydrogen-storing metal powder or hydrogen-storing alloy powder is filled in the annular space. The system provides a more uniform distribution of hydrogen across the particles of the hydrogen-storing metal/alloy powder, provides mechanical support to the hydrogen distribution conduit, improves the thermal conductivity of the powdered metal/alloy bed and reduces the size and production cost of the reactor.

Solid-gas reaction substance-filled reactor and method for manufacturing the same
A solid-gas reaction substance-filled reactor includes a core part in which heat medium heat-transfer tubes and spacers are alternately stacked, a gas introduction/discharge part that communicates with opening ends of the spacers, and a heat medium introduction/discharge part that communicates with heat medium flow paths. Filled bodies including metallic foil bags and a solid-gas reaction substance filled in the bags are inserted into the spacers. At least the filled bodies and the heat medium heat-transfer tubes are brazed to each other. The solid-gas reaction substance-filled reactor is obtained by stacking the filled bodies with the solid-gas reaction substance filled into the metallic bags, the heat medium heat-transfer tubes, and the spacers in a predetermined order and then brazing them.
Control system for a metal hydride air conditioner and a method thereof
A control system as disclosed in the present disclosure relates to the field of metal hydride air conditioning systems in vehicles. The control system improves cooling capacity and the coefficient of performance of the metal hydride air conditioner. The control system comprises a plurality of sensors, a memory, a time counter, a controller, and at least one actuator. The controller takes into account the pre-set half cycle time as well as the temperature of the exhaust gases at the outlet of a HT or LT reactor for changing fluid flow, i.e. from hot/cold fluid to the fluid at ambient temperature or vice versa, entering the reactors of the metal hydride air conditioner.
