Refrigeration system with heat recovery
A refrigeration system includes at least one refrigeration circuit 2. The refrigeration circuit 2 includes a compressor 10, a first heat rejecting heat exchanger 6, a second heat rejecting heat exchanger 8, an expansion valve 12 and a heat absorbing heat exchanger 4. The refrigeration circuit 2 further includes a heat recovery control valve 14 for controlling flow of the compressed refrigerant fluid between the first heat rejecting heat exchanger and the second heat rejecting heat exchanger. The first heat rejecting heat exchanger 6 is for receiving compressed refrigerant fluid from the compressor 10 and exchanging heat between the compressed refrigerant fluid and a second fluid to increase the temperature of the second fluid. The second heat rejecting heat exchanger 8 is for receiving the compressed refrigerant fluid and exchanging heat with ambient air to cool the compressed refrigerant fluid.
Free cooling outdoor unit
A free cooling outdoor unit includes: a refrigerant circuit through which refrigerant circulates; a brine circuit through which brine circulates; a water circuit through which water circulates; a fan configured to send air to the second heat exchanger; a flow control valve configured to control a circulation amount of the brine in the brine circuit; a water temperature detection sensor configured to detect a water temperature in the water circuit; an outside air temperature sensor; and a controller configured to control, where the outside air temperature is equal to or lower than a freezing temperature of the brine, the circulation amount of the brine based on the water temperature such that a brine temperature is prevented from reaching a temperature equal to or lower than the freezing temperature of the brine.

An air handling unit (1) for cooling down an indoor airflow (A1) including at least one fan (3) circulating the indoor airflow inside the air handling unit (1) and a first and a second cooling subsystems (5, 15) including a refrigeration apparatus (50, 150) comprising an evaporator (500, 1500) and a condenser (504, 1504), a first water circuit (52, 152) connected to the condenser and comprising at least one outside heat exchanger (520, 1520) exposed to outside air (A5, A15), a second water circuit (56, 156) connected to the evaporator and comprising at least one indoor heat exchanger (560, 1560) exposed to the indoor airflow, water connection means (62, 64, 162, 164) for selectively connecting, depending on a temperature of the outside air.
Air-conditioning device with refrigerant leak detection and control
An air-conditioning device includes a refrigerant circuit including a compressor, a heat source-side heat exchanger, an expansion unit, and an intermediate heat exchanger connected by a refrigerant pipe, through which refrigerant circulates; and a heat medium circuit including a pump, the intermediate heat exchanger, and a load-side heat exchanger connected by a heat medium pipe, through which heat medium circulates. A discharge unit connected downstream of the intermediate heat exchanger in the heat medium circuit discharges fluid flowing through the heat medium pipe, depending on pressure of the fluid. A refrigerant concentration detector detects concentration of the refrigerant contained in the fluid discharged from the discharge unit. A notification device notifies leakage of the refrigerant. A controller activates the notification device depending on the concentration of the refrigerant detected.
Cold water supply system
A cold water supply system cools water flowing through a water pipe, and supplies the water cooled to a cooling load, the cold water supply system including: an independent refrigerant circuit unit including a first compressor and a first water heat exchanger configured to exchange heat between refrigerant and the water to cool the water; a composite unit configured to cool the water, and a controller configured to control operation of the independent refrigerant circuit unit and operation of the composite unit, wherein the composite unit includes a free cooling unit including a pump and a second water heat exchanger configured to exchange heat between a heat medium and the water to cool the water, and a coupled refrigerant circuit unit including a second compressor and a third water heat exchanger configured to exchange heat between refrigerant and the water to cool the water, and the controller controls an operating frequency of the first compressor, an operating frequency of the second compressor, and an operating frequency of the pump based on a temperature of the water flowing out from the water pipe.
Air conditioning system with capacity control and controlled hot water generation
An HVAC system is disclosed, comprising: (a) a compressor, (b) a source heat exchanger for exchanging heat with a source fluid, (c) a first load heat exchanger operable for heating/cooling air in a space, (d) a second load heat exchanger for heating water, (e) first and second reversing valves, (f) first and second 3-way valves, (f) a bi-directional electronic expansion valve, (g) a first bi-directional valve, and (h) a second bi-directional valve to modulate exchange of heat in the first load heat exchanger when operating as an evaporator and to control flashing of the refrigerant entering the source heat exchanger when operating as an evaporator, (h) a source pump for circulating the source fluid through the first load heat exchanger, (i) a water pump for circulating water through the second load heat exchanger, and (j) a controller to control operation of the foregoing.
VEHICLE AIR CONDITIONING APPARATUS
A cooling and battery cooling mode is performed to release the heat from the refrigerant in a heat releasing unit and an outdoor heat exchanger and to absorb the heat into the refrigerant in a heat absorbing unit and a refrigerant-heat medium heat exchanger, and a heating and battery cooling mode is performed to release the heat from the refrigerant in the heat releasing unit and to absorb the heat into the refrigerant in the outdoor heat exchanger and the in-vehicle device heat exchanger. In a case where the cooling and battery cooling mode is performed, when a temperature of the heat absorbing unit is lower than a target value of the temperature of the heat absorbing unit even though the flowing of the refrigerant into the heat absorbing unit is blocked, the operation mode is moved to the heating and battery cooling mode.
MULTI-REFRIGERATION-CYCLE APPARATUS
A multi-refrigeration-cycle apparatus capable of reducing an installation area for equipment installed in a sub-fab and capable of shortening a pipe for delivering a cooling medium to a semiconductor-device manufacturing equipment is disclosed. The multi-refrigeration-cycle apparatus includes: a first refrigeration cycle having a first refrigerant for performing heat exchange with a cooling medium for cooling the semiconductor-device manufacturing equipment, the first refrigerant circulating in the first refrigeration cycle; and a second refrigeration cycle having a second refrigerant for performing heat exchange with the first refrigerant, the second refrigerant circulating in the second refrigeration cycle. At least a part of the first refrigeration cycle is arranged in a clean room where the semiconductor-device manufacturing equipment is installed, and the second refrigeration cycle is arranged in a sub-fab.
DEVICE FOR COOLING A LIVEWELL
A modular apparatus and system for managing the temperature of a livewell or other container housing water, and an associated method for installing the same. The system featuring a self-contained fluid line in communication with a first fluid line, which is in fluid communication with the livewell. The modular apparatus generally featuring the system and an enclosure. The enclosure can be located adjacent the livewell and detachably coupled to a fishing vessel. The modular apparatus and system can further comprise a condenser, which can be a forced air coil unit, a liquid-cooled unit, or a cold plate heat sink unit.
