Provided are a heat sink capable of suppressing overcooling of an electronic component which should not be overcooled and highly efficiently cooling only an electronic component which should be cooled, and a circuit device including the same. A heat sink includes a pipe and a cooling block. At least one projection is formed in the cooling block. The pipe is in contact with the projection. The pipe is arranged with a spacing from a portion of the cooling block other than the projection.

A compressor may include a shell, a first scroll, and a second scroll. The shell may include a first inlet, a second inlet, and an outlet. The first scroll may include a first end plate and a first spiral wrap. The second scroll may include a second end plate and a second spiral wrap, the first and second spiral wraps cooperating to define a series of moving compression pockets therebetween. The moving compression pockets decrease in volume as the moving compression pockets move from a radially outer position to a radially inner position. The moving compression pockets may receive working fluid from the first inlet at the radially outer position and provide working fluid to the outlet at the radially inner position. The second end plate may include a fluid cavity receiving working fluid from the second inlet and fluidly isolated from working fluid within the moving compression pockets.

An air conditioning system includes a main circuit having a multi-stage compressor, a condenser, a throttling element and an evaporator connected by pipelines; and a cooling branch, the inlet of which is connected to the main circuit between the condenser and the throttling element, and the outlet of which is connected to at least one of the first-stage suction port and the intermediate-stage suction port of the multi-stage compressor, wherein the cooling branch flows through the drive motor of the multi-stage compressor, and a regulating valve for controlling the opening of the cooling branch is provided on the cooling branch; and a control module that controls the opening of the regulating valve on the cooling branch based on the temperature of the outlet downstream of the drive motor on the cooling branch and the intermediate suction pressure of the intermediate-stage suction port of the multi-stage compressor.

A heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and/or refrigeration (HVAC&R) system includes a refrigerant loop having a compressor configured to circulate a refrigerant therethrough, a motor configured to drive rotation of the compressor, wherein the motor is a permanent magnet assisted synchronous reluctance (PMASR) motor, and a motor cooling system configured to direct a portion of the refrigerant from the refrigerant loop and through a housing of the PMASR motor to place the portion of the refrigerant in thermal communication with components of the PMASR motor.
COMPRESSOR UNIT AND REFRIGERATION APPARATUS
A compressor unit includes a first case, a first compressor, a cascade heat exchanger, a second compressor, a first connecting port, and a second connecting port. The first compressor, the cascade heat exchanger, and a heat source heat exchanger accommodated in a second case constitute a first refrigerant cycle. The second compressor, the cascade heat exchanger, and a utilization heat exchanger accommodated in a third case constitute a second refrigerant cycle. The first connecting port is connected to the heat source heat exchanger via a first connection piping. The second connecting port is connected to the utilization heat exchanger via a second connection piping.
MOTOR COOLING RETURN THROUGH HOLLOW SHAFT
This disclosure relates to a compressor having a shaft, wherein the shaft is hollow to define a fluid passage extending along the shaft and a motor arranged along the shaft. A motor cooling line is configured to convey a cooling fluid to the motor, wherein the motor cooling line is fluidly connected to the fluid passage. The compressor may be a refrigerant compressor used in a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) chiller system.
REFRIGERATION CYCLE APPARATUS
A refrigeration cycle apparatus includes: a refrigerant circuit configured to circulate refrigerant; and a controller configured to control the refrigerant circuit. The refrigerant circuit includes a compressor, a first heat exchanger, a first expansion device, a second expansion device, a third expansion device, a second heat exchanger, and a cooler configured to cool a substrate of the controller. In a first path of the refrigerant circuit, the compressor, the first heat exchanger, the first expansion device, the second expansion device, and the second heat exchanger are connected in order of the compressor, the first heat exchanger, the first expansion device, the second expansion device, and the second heat exchanger. In a second path of the refrigerant circuit, the cooler and the third expansion device are connected in order of the cooler and the third expansion device from a first point between the first expansion device and the second expansion device to a second point between the compressor and the second heat exchanger.
Refrigeration unit with heat exchanging arrangement
A refrigeration unit includes a compressor, a first heat exchanger, a second heat exchanger, a water pump, and a heat exchanging arrangement. The heat exchanging arrangement includes a main casing having a receiving cavity divided into a water atomizing compartment and one water showering compartment, a water atomizing unit, a water showering head, a fill material unit provided underneath the water showering head, and a water collection basin provided underneath the water atomizing unit and the fill material unit. A predetermined amount of heated water from the first heat exchanger is guided to flow to the water showering head and the water in the water showering head is sprinkled on the fill material unit. A predetermined amount of water from the water pump guided to flow to the water atomizing unit and the water flowing to the water atomizing unit is sprayed and atomized in the water atomizing compartment.
TURBO CHILLER
A turbo chiller that has an oil-free configuration, which reduces the frequency of maintenance and maintenance-induced release of refrigerant, and can achieve a reduced environmental impact by utilizing the characteristics of the low-pressure refrigerant R1233zd(E) that reaches negative pressure at a saturation temperature of 18° C. or lower. The turbo chiller comprises a refrigeration cycle that includes a turbo compressor, a condenser, a decompression device, and an evaporator connected in sequence via piping and is filled with a refrigerant; wherein the refrigerant is a low-pressure refrigerant R1233zd(E) refrigerant with low global warming potential and low ozone depletion potential; the turbo compressor has a direct drive configuration in which a rotating shaft of impellers is directly joined to a motor; and the rotating shaft is supported by magnetic bearings.
System and method for controlling temperature inside electrical and electronics system
A system and a method for controlling temperature inside electrical and electronics systems. The method includes sensing temperature of an inverter section by a temperature sensor, the inverter section including one or more electronic components. The method also includes determining, by a microcontroller, a temperature zone based on the sensed temperature and transmit a command to an inverter based on the temperature zone. The method further includes controlling speed of a compressor by an inverter based on the command.
