Method and a system for preventing a freeze event using refrigerant temperature
11709004 · 2023-07-25 · ·

A method includes measuring a saturated suction temperature, receiving actual temperature value reflective of the measured saturated suction temperature, and determining whether the actual temperature value is less than a first pre-determined minimum threshold temperature value. If the actual temperature value is less than the first pre-determined minimum threshold temperature value, initiating a timer to operate for a pre-determined time interval. Determining whether the actual temperature value is less than a second pre-determined minimum threshold temperature value and if the actual temperature value is less the second pre-determined minimum threshold temperature value, initiating the timer to operate for a modified time interval. If the timer has expired, the operation of the compressor is modified.

HEAT EXCHANGER AND CORRUGATED FIN

A heat exchanger includes tubes arranged in one direction, and a corrugated fin provided between the tubes. The corrugated fin includes joints joined to the tubes, and fin bodies that connect the joints which are located next to each other along the wave shape. The fin body includes a cut-raised portion that has a shape in which a part of the fin body is cut and raised for promotion of heat transfer. The cut-raised portion includes a cut-raised end on at least one end of the cut-raised portion in the one direction. The cut-raised end has recesses and projections on its surface that increase hydrophilicity of the surface of the cut-raised end.

Heat exchanger for use in cooling liquids

A heat exchanger has at least one inlet and outlet to permit circulation of refrigerant therethrough. Each heat exchanger includes a plurality of thin sections of material arranged between a pair of thin flat outer plates. Each of the thin sections of material is comprised of parallel flow paths, allowing for the refrigerant to flow through the inlet, then from one section to the next, and finally out the outlet. The arrangement of the sections of parallel flow paths allows for the refrigerant to come into contact with the majority of the inside wall of the outer plates, allowing for maximum heat exchange. In use for cooling liquids, the heat exchangers are arranged within a frame and brought into contact with the liquid to be cooled. When the heat exchangers are used to cool liquid sufficiently to produce ice crystals, a rotating scraping device sweeps across the surface of the heat exchanger, removing any ice crystals that have formed.

A distributor (100), a falling film evaporator and a refrigerating system. The distributor includes: a sprayer (110), the top of the sprayer being connected to a falling film evaporator inlet (230), and the bottom of the sprayer being provided with spray holes (111); and an orifice plate (120) disposed at a lower end of the sprayer and provided with multiple distribution holes (121), wherein a centrifugal gas-liquid separating element is disposed in the sprayer and is configured to separate a refrigerant entering the sprayer through the evaporator inlet into a gas phase and a liquid phase. In the distributor, the centrifugal gas-liquid separating element is disposed in the sprayer, so that a two-phase refrigerant entering the sprayer through the evaporator inlet can be better separated under dual effects of the gravity and the centrifugal force.
