A packaged, pumped liquid, evaporative-condensing recirculating ammonia refrigeration system with charges of 10 lbs or less of refrigerant per ton of refrigeration capacity. The compressor and related components are situated inside the plenum of a standard evaporative condenser unit, and the evaporator is close coupled to the evaporative condenser. Single or dual phase cyclonic separators may also be housed in the plenum of the evaporative condenser.

A heat exchanger includes a plurality of flat heat transfer tubes and a header, wherein each of the flat heat transfer tubes internally includes a plurality of windward channels and a plurality of leeward channels that are arranged on a leeward side of the windward channels, the header includes a main body unit having an internal space that is connected to the windward channels and the leeward channels, a partition member that separates the internal space into a windward side space at a side of ends of the windward channels and a leeward side space at a side of ends of the leeward channels, and an inflow portion that supplies a refrigerant to the lower portion of the leeward side space, and an upper side communication path that allows communication between the leeward side space and the windward side space is formed in an upper portion of the partition member.
AIR CONDITIONER
A refrigerant cycle system includes: a primary-side cycle of a vapor compression type that circulates a first refrigerant; a secondary-side cycle of a vapor compression type that circulates a second refrigerant; and a cascade heat exchanger that exchanges heat between the first refrigerant and the second refrigerant. The secondary-side cycle includes a secondary-side heat exchanger that uses cold or heat obtained by the second refrigerant from the cascade heat exchanger. The secondary-side heat exchanger includes a flat multi-hole pipe.
AIR CONDITIONER
A refrigerant cycle system includes: a primary-side cycle of a vapor compression type that circulates a first refrigerant; a secondary-side cycle of a vapor compression type that circulates a second refrigerant; and a cascade heat exchanger that exchanges heat between the first refrigerant and the second refrigerant. The secondary-side cycle includes a secondary-side heat exchanger that uses cold or heat obtained by the second refrigerant from the cascade heat exchanger. The secondary-side heat exchanger includes a flat multi-hole pipe.
REFRIGERATION AND HEAT PUMP SYSTEMS WITH PRESSURE EXCHANGERS
A fluid handling system includes a pressure exchanger (PX) configured to receive a first fluid at a first pressure and a second fluid at a second pressure and exchange pressure between the first fluid and the second fluid. The system further includes a condenser configured to provide corresponding thermal energy from the first fluid to a corresponding environment. The system further includes a receiver to receive the first fluid output by the PX. The receiver forms a chamber to separate the first fluid into a first gas and a first liquid. The system further includes a heat exchanger configured to receive the second fluid from the second outlet of the PX and provide the second fluid to the second inlet of the PX.
