PREVENTING EVAPORATOR COIL FREEZE DURING RE-HEAT DEHUMIDIFICATION
In an embodiment, a method of preventing evaporator coil freeze in a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes determining a reference saturated suction temperate (SST) via a sensor disposed in relation to an evaporator coil in the HVAC system, where the HVAC; system is operating in reheat dehumidification mode. The method also includes determining whether the reference SST is below a minimum SST threshold. The method also includes, responsive to a determination that the reference SST is below the minimum SST threshold, determining a decreased compressor speed. The method also includes modulating a variable-speed. compressor in the HVAC system in correspondence to the decreased compressor speed.
DATA CENTER COOLANT SWITCH
A data center cooling system has an indoor portion wherein heat is absorbed from components in the data center, and an outdoor heat exchanger portion wherein outside air is used to cool a first heat transfer fluid (e.g., water) present in at least the outdoor heat exchanger portion of the cooling system during a first mode. When an appropriate time has been reached to switch from the first mode to a second mode, the outdoor heat exchanger portion of the data cooling system is switched to a second heat transfer fluid, which is a relatively low performance heat transfer fluid (compared to the first fluid). It has a second heat transfer fluid freezing point, lower than the first heat transfer fluid freezing point, and sufficiently low to operate without freezing when the outdoor air temperature drops below a first predetermined relationship with the first heat transfer fluid freezing point.
HEAT PUMP SYSTEM
A heat pump system includes a compression device 12, a heat rejecting heat exchanger 14, an expansion device 18 and a heat absorbing heat exchanger 16; wherein the expansion device 18 provides a controllable degree of expansion. The heat pump system is operated in accordance with a method including determining a temperature indicative of frosting conditions on an exterior surface of the heat absorbing heat exchanger 16; operating the heat pump system in a first mode if the temperature indicative of frosting conditions is above a threshold value, and operating the heat pump system in a second mode if the temperature indicative of frosting conditions is within a range of temperatures that is below the threshold value.
METHOD FOR PREPARING EVAPORATOR FOR REDUCING WATER CONDENSING CAPACITY AND EVAPORATOR
The present invention discloses a method for preparing an evaporator for reducing water condensing capacity and an evaporator. The preparation method comprises steps of: step A: selecting fins; step B: stacking; step C: arranging tubes; and, step D: expanding tubes. In accordance with the present invention, the existing fins and devices can be used to produce an evaporator in which the distance between two adjacent fins satisfies the requirements of the freezing operation, ensuring the normal operation of an air conditioner when the refrigeration temperature is below 0° C.
PLATE HEAT EXCHANGER AND HEAT PUMP APPARATUS
A plate heat exchanger includes: a plurality of heat transfer plates including first to fourth through-holes to extend through the heat transfer plate, stacked in a single direction to isolate first and second water flow passages; and end plates including first and second inlet and outlet ports, and a connection port, that the heat transfer plates are sandwiched between The first inlet and outlet port, continuous with the first and second through-holes, allow a first fluid to flow into and out of the first flow passage. The second inlet and outlet port, continuous with the third and fourth through-holes, allow a second fluid to flow into and out of the second flow passage. The connection port is connected to a pressure relief valve provided separately from the plate heat exchanger.
CONTROL SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREVENTING EVAPORATOR COIL FREEZE
A method of preventing evaporator coil freeze in a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system is performed by a controller in the HVAC system. The method includes determining a reference saturated suction temperature (SST) via a sensor disposed in relation to an evaporator coil in the HVAC system. The method also includes determining whether the reference SST is below a minimum SST threshold. The method also includes, responsive to a determination that the reference SST is below the minimum SST threshold, increasing a discharge air temperature (DAT) setpoint.
Method of operating water electrolysis system and water electrolysis system
A water electrolysis system includes a water electrolysis device; a water circulation circuit section including a water circulation pump; an antifreeze circulation circuit section including an antifreeze circulation pump; and a heat exchanger configured to perform heat exchange between the water circulation circuit section and the antifreeze circulation circuit section. Before water electrolysis is started by the water electrolysis device, a control device of the water electrolysis system circulates water by driving the water circulation pump and sets the antifreeze circulation pump to an operationally stopped state.
AIR CONDITIONING APPARATUS
Provided is an air conditioning apparatus. The air conditioning apparatus includes a heat exchanger in which the refrigerant and the water are heat-exchanged with each other, a high-pressure guide tube extending from a high-pressure gas tube of an outdoor unit so as to be connected to one side of the heat exchanger, a low-pressure guide tube extending from a low-pressure gas tube of the outdoor unit so as to be combined with the high-pressure guide tube, a liquid guide tube extending from a liquid tube of the outdoor unit so as to be connected to the other side of the heat exchanger, a bypass tube configured to connect a bypass branch point of the high-pressure gas tube to a bypass combination point of the liquid guide tube to bypass a high-pressure refrigerant existing in the high-pressure tube to the liquid guide tube, and a bypass valve installed in the bypass tube.
