Provided is a geothermal heat system having reduced heat source residual heat of a geothermal heat pump. The geothermal heat system includes a ground heat exchanger unit, a geothermal heat pump, and a residual heat storage tank. A portion of heat source residual heat remaining in the geothermal heat pump is transferred on a geothermal heat exchange medium passing through the geothermal heat pump so as to be stored in the residual heat storage tank. As the internal temperature of the residual heat storage tank gradually becomes the same as the temperature of the underground, the thermal load of the underground is removed. At least a portion of the heat source residual heat produced during provision of cooling/heating to the location of use is processed, thereby improving the operating efficiency of the geothermal heat system having reduced heat source residual heat of a geothermal heat pump.

METHOD OF DEPLOYING A HEAT EXCHANGER PIPE

A new system for and a method of deploying a heat exchanger pipe. A bore hole is drilled from an access ditch location to a terminal ditch location using a piloted drill head powered via an umbilical attached to the piloted drill head. A casing is attached to the piloted drill head and disposed about the umbilical into the bore hole from the access ditch location to the terminal ditch location. At the terminal ditch location, the piloted drill head is removed from the casing and the umbilical and a heat exchanger pipe is attached to the umbilical. The umbilical is withdrawn from within the casing deployed in the bore hole to pull the heat exchanger pipe into the casing. The casing is then withdrawn from the bore hole leaving the heat exchanger pipe in the bore hole.

An intelligent heat pump system having a dual heat exchanger structure includes a heat source side heat exchange member, a heat pump, an external expansion valve, a refrigerant-water heat exchanger, a heat storage tank, and a target side end unit. A refrigerant flows through the heat pump, the refrigerant-water heat exchanger, and the target side end unit, and in a non-air-conditioning state for the target site, circulates between the heat pump and the refrigerant-water heat exchanger, so that cooled or heated water is stored in the heat storage tank. In an air-conditioning state for the target site, the heat pump and the heat storage tank supply cooling and heating to the target site, so that the power consumption for normal operation is reduced in order to improve the operation efficiency of the intelligent heat pump system.

GEOTHERMAL-READY HEAT PUMP SYSTEM

A geothermal heat pump system which may be installed in a building and operated as an air source heat pump system using an exterior heat exchanger as a heat source or heat source/sink, but which includes geothermal components including a geothermal heat exchanger. The geothermal heat exchanger may be isolated in initial operation of the system for heating and cooling but may be connected to a geothermal heat source/sink following initial installation of the heat pump system for use in heating and cooling as a heat source and a heat source/sink, respectively. In this manner, the heat pump system may be initially operated as a standard air source heat pump and optionally later converted into a geothermal heat pump system.
