Refrigerator display case

This disclosure provides a refrigerated display case for maintaining food freshness and improving food safety while reducing the possibility of spoilage and reducing the labor otherwise required for cleaning a standard case where contaminates commonly accumulate. This structure improves humidity levels by avoiding condensation on lower coils while reducing the complexity of adequately cleaning the case and maintaining food safety. Elimination of this hidden cavity reduces cleaning time. The disclosure employs a removable floor assembly or chilled floor component which may be employed in gravity cases or forced air cases. The removable assembly comprises encased cooling coils which may be foamed in or otherwise secured therein. The floor assembly is removable, making the floor and cooling system an integrated and replaceable component. The novel case further incorporates accessible expansion valves which may be adjusted without removing the food product from the case. Electro thermal cooling means may be alternatively employed.

PORTABLE LIQUID PUMP WITH INTEGRATED CHILLER AND HEATER
20200173698 · 2020-06-04 ·

In one aspect, a portable liquid pump with integrated chiller and heater system includes a pump component includes a pump, a liquid chamber, an inlet port and an outlet port. The pump component seals a liquid so that it does not escape except by the inlet port and the exit port. The pump component pressurizes and directs the liquid in a warm state from the inlet port over a Thermo-electric element-based cold-side heat exchanger and through the outlet port. A Thermo-electric element component includes the Thermo-electric element-based cold-side heat exchanger and a hot-side heat exchanger, wherein the Thermo-electric element component converts an electrical current into a temperature difference that in turn causes heat to flow from the Thermo-electric element-based cold-side heat exchanger to the hot-side heat exchanger. A battery component includes an electrical energy storage component that provides electrical power to the Thermo-electric element component that in turn pumps heat from the Thermo-electric element-based cold-side heat exchanger to the hot-side heat exchanger.

CLIMATE CONTROLLED HOUSING FOR INSTRUMENTATION

The invention is a portable, climate controlled housing for sampling instrumentation having an outer housing and an insulted interior housing for receiving the sampling instrumentation, a sampling hose is connectable from the instrumentation to outside of the housing, a thermoelectric cooler device is provided within the outer housing to cool the interior of the outer housing, one or more exhaust fan are provided to remove air from inside the outer housing, a temperature probe is disposed within the interior insulated housing and a thermostat is operably connected to the exhaust fan, the cooler device and the temperature probe so that when the interior temperature of the insulated housing is detected to be outside a preferred range, the thermoelectric cooler device and the exhaust fan are operated until the interior temperature within the insulated housing is within a preferred range.

ACTIVE CRYSTALLISATION CONTROL IN PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL THERMAL STORAGE SYSTEMS

The present invention relates to phase-change materials (PCM) which store and release thermal energy by undergoing melt/crystallisation cycles. More particularly, there is described a thermal storage system where sub-cooled phase change material (PCM) is nucleated via a controlled thermal region(s).

Vehicle seating assembly

A vehicle seating assembly comprises a body with a center portion and four corner portions and a seating surface. A supporting layer is disposed below the body. A thermal transfer node is disposed in the body. The thermal transfer node includes a heat sink and a thermoelectric device. The heat sink is located between the seating surface and the thermoelectric device. The heat sink and the thermoelectric device are configured to draw heat away from the heating surface. A fluid moves proximate the thermal transfer node and into the supporting layer to draw heat away from the thermal transfer node. A phase change material is disposed between the seating surface and the heat sink.

Enhanced heat transport systems for cooling chambers and surfaces

At least one forced convection unit added to a passive heat transport system is operated during transient heat loading periods but not operated under steady state conditions for cooling and maintaining a set point temperature of a chamber or surface. Forced convection is selectively employed based on temperature data and/or set point temperature values. A reject heat transport system includes first and second reject heat sinks each coupled via main and crossover transport tubes to first and second reject heat exchangers, permitting both heat sinks to dissipate heat from first and second thermoelectric heat pumps regardless of whether the first, the second, or the first and second heat pumps are in operation.
