A cooling device includes a number of cooling tubes arranged in parallel such that a first cooling fluid and a second cooling fluid can flow in the cooling tubes. A tank communicates with the cooling tubes to allow the first cooling fluid or the second cooling fluid to flow through the cooling tubes. A diaphragm is located inside the tank to separate the tank into a first space allowing the first cooling fluid to flow therein and a second space allowing the second cooling fluid to flow therein. The diaphragm is coupled to the tank to be rectilinearly movable in a direction of an arrangement of the plurality of cooling tubes.
REGULATION METHOD AND REGULATION APPARATUS OF A REFRIGERATION PLANT AND RESPECTIVE REFRIGERATION PLANT INCLUDING SUCH APPARATUS
Described is a regulation apparatus for a refrigeration plant having defined therein a refrigerant fluid path and a plurality of devices arranged along the refrigerant fluid path. The regulation apparatus includes a first sensor arranged in a first point (P1), and preferably a second sensor arranged in a second point (P3), both along the refrigerant fluid path. The control unit controls a first value measured by the first sensor and obtains a first regulation request of a device deriving from the first measured value as well as a second value measured by the second sensor, or calculated for the second point, and derives a second regulation request of the device deriving from the second measured value, compares the first and second regulation requests and establishes which regulation request is greater. A control unit commands an actuation device to actuate the most effective regulation request of the refrigeration plant devices.

Determination device for refrigerant quality
A determination device includes a refrigerant circuit, an operation determination unit, and a refrigerant determination unit. The refrigerant circuit is made of a compressor, a condenser, an expansion mechanism, and an evaporator that are circularly connected. In a refrigeration cycle operation in accordance with a quantity of heat required by the condensers or the evaporators, the operation determination unit determines whether the refrigeration cycle operation can be normally carried out or not. Upon determination that the refrigeration cycle operation cannot be normally carried out, the refrigerant determination unit determines whether a refrigerant in the refrigerant circuit is regenerable or not, based on a result of the determination. Thus the determination device is provided by which an effort involved with determination as to whether the refrigerant is regenerable or not can be reduced.
Methods and systems for benchmarking asset performance
Traditionally, benchmarking of asset performance involves comparing actual performance with ideal values that correspond to test conditions which may not be realized in practice leading to inappropriate ranking of the assets. Systems and methods of the present disclosure use condition-aware reference curves for estimating the maximum possible operating efficiencies (under specific operating conditions) instead of the theoretical maximum efficiencies. The reference curves are received from the manufacturer or obtained from on-site test results. Benchmarking is then performed based on two dimensions, viz., an inter-asset metric and an intra-asset metric that are analogous to the first law and second law of thermodynamics respectively. The two-dimensional benchmarking then helps in identifying inefficient assets that may be analyzed further for finding the root cause. Tracking the performance of assets over time greatly helps in operations and maintenance, and thus reducing downtime of systems and accordingly the operating costs.
Condenser fan control system
A heating and cooling system that includes a condenser coil configured to receive a refrigerant. A first compressor and a second compressor that pump the refrigerant through the condenser coil. A first condenser fan and a second condenser fan that push air over the condenser coil. A controller that receives a signal indicative of an ambient air temperature, a signal indicative of an operational status of the first compressor, and a signal indicative of an operational status of the second compressor. The controller controls operation of the first condenser fan and the second condenser fan in response to the signal indicative of the ambient air temperature, the signal indicative of the operational status of the first compressor and the signal indicative of the operational status of the second compressor.
Method of adjusting electronic expansion valve of outdoor unit of air-conditioner
Provided is a control method on electronic expansion valve in air conditioner comprises: obtaining a real-time running frequency of compressor, a real-time exhaust temperature and a real-time outdoor environment temperature as the compressor running; comparing the real-time running frequency of compressor with a first set frequency; if the real-time running frequency is greater than or equal to the first set frequency, obtaining an integral coefficient of the PID algorithm according to a first set rule; if the real-time running frequency is less than the first set frequency, obtaining an integral coefficient of the PID algorithm according to the comparison of the real-time outdoor environment temperature and the first set outdoor environment temperature and a second set rule, or according to the comparison of the real-time outdoor environment temperature and the first set outdoor environment temperature and a third set rule, wherein the selection is based on whether the air conditioner is working in cooling mode or in heating mode; performing a PID control on the electronic expansion valve by an error of the difference between real-time exhaust temperature and a set target exhaust temperature. The method realizes an accurate and stable control on electronic expansion valve opening amount.

CONTINUOUS LEARNING COMPRESSOR INPUT POWER PREDICTOR
System and method for monitoring and detecting potential problems early in a VCC based HVAC&R system employs a monitoring application or agent that uses continuous machine learning and a temperature map to derive or “learn” a relation between a measured input power parameter of one or more system compressors, and condenser and evaporator intake fluid temperatures, based on observations of the temperatures and the input power parameter when the HVAC&R system is new or in a “newly maintained” condition. The monitoring agent can then use the learned relation to determine, based on subsequent observations of the condenser and evaporator intake fluid temperatures, the input power parameter values that should be expected if the HVAC&R system were operating in the “newly maintained” condition. The agent can thereafter compare the expected compressor input power parameter values with observed input power parameter values to determine early whether the system is experiencing performance degradation.
