CONTROL METHOD FOR AIR CONDITIONER
A control method for an air conditioner including a compressor and an outdoor unit, where the control method includes: obtaining a suction temperature of the outdoor unit and selectively adjusting the frequency of the compressor according to the suction temperature of the outdoor unit. The method can adjust the operating frequency of the compressor according to the temperature interval in which the suction temperature of the outdoor unit is located, to avoid the freezing of an indoor unit, the outdoor unit and an unit connecting tube of the air conditioner, thereby effectively solving the problem that the indoor unit, the outdoor unit and the unit connecting tube of the air conditioner are easy to freeze, and the stability and reliability of the air conditioner operation are also improved.
CONTROL DEVICE, REFRIGERATOR SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A control device for a refrigerator system for cooling a load by using a plurality of refrigerators, said control device comprising a unit to control the number of operating units that changes the number of operating refrigerators according to the load rate, and a cold water temperature acquisition unit that acquires, via a temperature sensor, the temperature of cold water affected by the refrigerators. After a prescribed standby time from when the number of operating refrigerators was changed has elapsed, the unit to control the number of operating units changes the number of operating units and reduces the prescribed standby time when at least one of the cold-water temperature and the rate of change in the cold-water temperature satisfies a prescribed condition.
ENERGY SAVING SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING COOLED AND HEATED LIQUID
A system for producing a cooled liquid and a heated liquid. Such a system may be embodied in the form of a unitary apparatus configured to dispense chilled water and near boiling water for human consumption. In one form, there is provided a system for heating and cooling a liquid, the system including: a liquid cooling unit having a heat output component, and a first liquid heater configured to hold and heat a liquid. The first liquid heater is configured to retain a first body of the liquid about the heat output component such that the liquid is heated, and furthermore that a temperature gradient is formed and maintained within the first body of the liquid.
Method for defrosting an evaporator of a sealed system
A method for defrosting an evaporator of a sealed system includes determining that a defrost cycle is needed to remove frost from the evaporator and initiating such a defrost cycle. The method further includes determining that the defrost cycle failed to defrost the evaporator and repeating the defrost cycle until the defrost cycle is successful or until a predetermined number of defrost cycles have been performed. After a predetermined number of successive failed defrost cycles, the method includes preventing further operation of the sealed system, e.g., by locking out compressor, until the frost and/or ice build-up is removed.
Pressure spike prevention in heat pump systems
A pressure spike prevention assembly for use in a heat pump system includes a thermostatic expansion valve that includes a first port and a second port. The first port is designed to be fluidly coupled to an indoor coil, and the second port is designed to be coupled to an outdoor coil. The pressure spike prevention assembly further includes a multi-way valve that includes an inlet port, an output port, and a liquid line port. The inlet port is fluidly coupled to the first port. The output port is fluidly in communication with the second port. The liquid line port is configured to be fluidly coupled to a charge compensator of the heat pump system via a liquid line of the heat pump system.
Vapor compression refrigeration system capable of operating in transcritical mode and method of operating such a system
A vapor compression refrigeration system has a main refrigerant circuit having a primary compressor group, a gas cooler or condenser, an expansion device, a liquid receiver, and at least one evaporator. An emergency circulation duct fluidically connects the liquid receiver to the main circuit to allow a flow of refrigerant from the liquid receiver to the gas cooler. An emergency compressor group in the emergency circulation duct is activatable when pressure inside the liquid receiver or in the duct upstream of the emergency compressor group meets or exceeds a predefined emergency pressure threshold. An uninterruptible power supply powers the emergency compressor group and expansion device during a shutdown of the refrigeration system. When pressure inside the liquid receiver or in the duct upstream of the emergency compressor group equals or exceeds the predefined emergency pressure threshold, an emergency circulation of refrigerant fluid is activated through the emergency circulation duct.
AIR CONDITIONER
An air conditioner includes an outdoor unit, a plurality of indoor units, a plurality of expansion valves which are provided upstream of indoor heat exchangers, a plurality of on-off valves which are provided upstream of the expansion valves, and control unit wherein when the indoor units include a stopping indoor unit and an operating indoor unit currently operating, and when a stopping of the stopping unit is due to thermostat-off operation, the control unit performs a procedure to stop the stopping unit, the procedure including closing an on-off valve that corresponds to the stopping unit and driving an indoor fan in the stopping unit until pressure in a part between the on-off valve and an expansion valve that corresponds to the stopping unit and pressure in a part downstream of the first expansion valve are equalized, fully opening the expansion valve, and stopping the indoor fan.
METHOD OF MONITORING AN AIR CYCLE MACHINE
A method of monitoring an air cycle machine including driving a rotary shaft of an air cycle machine, disconnecting a driving source to allow the rotary shaft to slow the rotary shaft, and monitoring a shutdown cycle of the rotary shaft.
REFRIGERATION CYCLE APPARATUS
A first valve is connected between a compressor and a first heat exchanger. A second valve is connected between the first heat exchanger and a expansion valve. When a start condition of the heating operation is satisfied and when a specific condition is satisfied, a controller starts supplying refrigerant from the compressor to the first valve, and then, opens the first and second valves. The specific condition is a condition indicating that a first heat exchange capability of the first heat exchanger is higher than a second heat exchange capability of a second heat exchanger. When the start condition of the heating operation is satisfied and when the specific condition is not satisfied, the controller opens the first and second valves, and then starts supplying the refrigerant from the compressor to the first valve.
Domestic refrigeration appliance with a coolant circuit and method for operating a domestic refrigeration appliance with a coolant circuit
A domestic refrigeration appliance has a heat-insulated housing with a coolable inner container delimiting a coolable interior for storing foods. The interior is cooled with a coolant circuit that includes a compressor with a three-phase motor operated by an actuator via electrically powered motor windings. The actuator is actuated at least indirectly to operate the compressor in a switched-on state with a rotational speed of the three-phase motor at least approximately equal to a predetermined rotational speed. The actuator is caused to switch off the compressor such that the rotational speed of the three-phase motor decreases to a predetermined minimum rotational speed, and thereafter to switch off the three-phase motor for at least a predetermined period of time by de-energizing the motor windings. The period of time is selected long enough to reduce the speed of the motor, beginning from the minimum rotational speed, to reach standstill.
