METHOD OF AND SYSTEM FOR MINIMIZATION OF CONDENSER-FAN CYCLING FOR LOW AMBIENT TEMPERATURE

A method of controlling a heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) system includes measuring an ambient temperature and determining whether the ambient temperature is below a threshold temperature value. Responsive to a determination that the ambient temperature is below the threshold temperature value, measuring a condenser-fan cycle time of the HVAC system and setting a speed of the compressor based on the measured condenser-fan cycle time.

WET EVAPORATION-BASED COLD CONCENTRATION SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a wet evaporation-based cold concentration system, which is mainly applied to the technical field of air conditioners, and particularly applied to the technical field of heat-source tower heat-pump air conditioners. By utilizing a wet evaporation theory, a low-temperature low-concentration anti-freezing solution is enabled to contact low-temperature air in a wet evaporator to perform the heat and mass transfer, and water in the anti-freezing solution is vaporized at a low temperature into the air, thereby obtaining the high-concentration anti-freezing solution. By reasonably utilizing the concentration pool and the storage pool, the low-concentration anti-freezing solution is separated from the high-concentration anti-freezing solution, thereby achieving a purpose of simultaneously concentrating and storing the anti-freezing solution

AIR CONDITIONER

Stress to be imposed on a compressor in reverse cycle operation is reduced. A cycle controller causes an outdoor heat exchanger to function as a condenser and an indoor heat exchanger to function as an evaporator when a reverse cycle executing condition is met, so that a refrigerant circulates in reverse of a heating cycle. A rotation speed controller adjusts a rotation speed of a compressor in a reverse cycle, depending on an index correlated with an amount of frost on the outdoor heat exchanger at a start of the reverse cycle. The rotation speed controller decreases the rotation speed of the compressor in the reverse cycle as the index at the start of the reverse cycle indicates that the amount of the frost on the outdoor heat exchanger is smaller.

Air-conditioning apparatus with low outside air temperature mode

In a case of a heating operation in which the use side heat exchanger functions as a condenser when an outside temperature is a predetermined low temperature, a low-outside-temperature heating operation start-up mode in which, while a refrigerant discharged from the compressor is caused to flow into the use side heat exchanger, a refrigerant is supplied to the injection port of the compressor via the injection pipe and part of the refrigerant that has transferred heat in the heat source side heat exchanger is supplied to the compressor, is followed by a low-outside-temperature heating operation mode in which the refrigerant discharged from the compressor is supplied to the injection port of the compressor via the injection pipe while the refrigerant being caused to flow into the use side heat exchanger.

A cooling system is designed to generally allow for one or more compressors to be bypassed when ambient temperatures are low. The system includes a bypass line and valve that opens when ambient temperatures are low and/or when the pressure of the refrigerant in the system is low. In this manner, the refrigerant can flow through the bypass line instead of through one or more compressors. These compressors may then be shut off. To supply any needed pressure to cycle the refrigerant, the system may include a pump that turns on when the bypass line is open. When ambient temperatures are extremely low, thermosiphon may be used to cycle the refrigerant.
